Manga get really repetitive after a while, so it isn't as fun reading manga after a few years then it was at first, i think that's why lot of peoples get sick of manga after a few years.
The only reason i didn't quit manga yet is because i still find some gems from time to time and it would be a shame to quit manga and miss thoses gems.

I actually thought about voting for that option. For the last couple of years, I barely read a chapter or two of manga. Every once in awhile, I would see what's new, but that's about it. I consider that "stopped reading manga," but if you want to be super technical, I didn't (though I went at least 2 or so years straight without reading manga). Right now though, I started reading again, but nowhere near the level of what I used to.

Noticing cliches and being able to predict the plot's kinda an enthusiasm killer.
Though, in my case, it was primarily because real life started getting in the way, compounded with the finances hurting.

I read less manga now, although I still follow my favorite five-six series. I just don't have the time to marathon read 10 volumes+ of manga per day. Nowadays I got a job, while five years ago I was a borderline neet. I had two classes per day during the week and one long class every saturday. Those were the days....

I read a WHOLE lot less now... I go outside and I'm off of the computer a lot of times. With college and my boyfriend and life and everything else... I just don't really care about manga that much these days.

Thinks to my schedule I watch less and less anime over the years and more and more manga. Can easily find manga I want and still have several manga I haven't gotten to yet.

Loving these recent polls- so relevant!
I read a lot less manga now than back when I started- mostly because I have read almost every title within my genre of interest worth reading. There are also a lot less manga in that genre coming out now, and most of the original scanlation teams have died and have not been replaced.

I read a lot less nowadays. I started watching more animu though.

I read a lot less now. Like most of the others that has chosen this, it's cause I've read almost all the works of the genres that were directed to me (shonen/seinen) to the point that I've even tried my hand to the better works of the ones not directed to me (shoujo/josei).

Second that. I have a lot less time now, so I mostly look for entertainment during commuting - and while ebook readers allow to comfortably read light novels, their resolution is not good enough for manga... And tablets are too big to carry them around.

Third-do
Either I've already read what I like, I keep having trouble finding anything that stands out, or anything that interests me.
Inversely, my anime list has grown, though its probably because either they've FINALLY released an anime adaptation of my favorite manga, or older anime (Violence Jack).

it doesn't make much sense for someone to answer stopped reading unless they watch anime now instead of manga but doesn't make sense for them to come here unless they're just here for their friends....

Hoo it's true! Totally forgot about the LN
Haha, me too, save the LN in my mobile phone so I can read it anytime anywhere, cause its screen is so small, no way admiring image there.
