I'm looking for a COMPLETE manga with a STRONG FEMALE LEAD. The type of female lead I want is not so feminine and girly, more outgoing, confident, like Obaka-chan, Koigatariki and Dengeki Daisy, practically a vulgar girl, even. She does whatever she wants, makes faces and sticks her tongue out at people she doesn't like, is independent and amusing. I think I'm looking for a humorous SHOUJO MANGA, in that case, though if there's a character like that in a shounen, I'm all for it. I've capitalized the main points since some people don't like to read everything or just look at the title. 😛 If you've made it all the way to the end of the post, thank you for paying attention to my request. 😛

1/2 Prince / 1/2 Prince (Novel) - the novel is complete, and the manhua just has a couple chapters left I believe. The novel is great, as it shows in detail how she feels about gender stereotypes and acting against them. I also find the protagonist funnier in the novel, as she is a very amusing narrator.

Koi (MATSUMOTO Tomo) - short oneshot, funny female lead.

Warau Kanoko-sama - great protagonist, very smart.

I am looking for complete manga specifically, yes. I have too many things on my wish list that are unfinished, I want to finish some manga already. >.< But I have put the complete ones on my list and will read them, thank you. 🙂

Quote from Blique

I think the OP is looking for complete manga specifically.

Oh well, but she/he can search in those topics for the complete ones. I was just listing some useful topics that might help her out (since I don't have many recommendations). 🙂

Maybe Vitamin (SUENOBU Keiko)? There is a character growth really nice on this one.

I appreciate it, dalek, I will check the topics you've posted. It disappoints me how many manga are full of "strong female leads" that aren't really strong female leads, they're just passed as such, and their characters are just far too forced. :/

I don't know if I would call all these characters "outgoing" exactly, but:
Tomodachi no Hanashi!!
Gokusen josei but still super worth reading. on your wishlist.
Hana ni Arashi
Koi (MATSUMOTO Tomo) oneshot.
Nanaco Robin if not the heroine, read it for Buu-chan! She was great.
Atashi no Banbi a short one.
My Hero!? Anyway, it's super cute.
Beauty Pop
Don't Cry, Girl this one's a bit coo coo bananas but lol. Why not.
Gar to Ouji-sama oneshot.

EDIT:
Didn't check your favourites list! Yup. You've read Tomodachi no Hanashi. Sorry. xD

These are a bit off the mark, but still worth reading:

Appleseed Deunan is strong in every sense of the word. Which makes the anime series an even larger disappointment. I am so pissed at the anime. Though I guess the manga is technically on hiatus. Has been for about 25 years anyway.
Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind has two. Nausicaa and Kushana

This one may be more what you are looking for:
Show Me the Money

Another one is Charming Junkie.

The female lead even shed to underwear to prove her point, so you see, she is quite strong
