I don't know. I guess seeing my finger get closer to my eye I end up closing it or end up missing my eye all together.

Some people aren't some people are.

Can force myself to, but many people will actually run away from it.

You get used to it.

When I first got contacts, I had to look in the mirror & really try hard not to blink (sometimes blinked anyway...) but by now I don't even need a mirror & blinking isn't a problem. Blinking is a reflex to protect your eyes & you have to train yourself not to do it; I suppose some people have stronger reflexes & thus more trouble with blinking?

I wear glasses. Don't want contacts. Just the idea of putting something in my eyes makes me shudder

I was wondering not about the reflex (you can train/force yourself) but the fear. I mean... that sounds wtf-ish.

As long as you don't get dust, cat hair, etc. in your eye at the same time, it doesn't hurt at all. They can be kind of chilly in the winter, though. laugh

As I recall, I could really feel the contacts in my eyes for a few days to a week - nothing painful, just noticeably there. After that first week or so I don't even feel them unless they dry out or something gets in my eye.

I have glasses. They are such a pain in the ass, but I'm too lazy to use contacts... So there you go.

Glasses myself. Don't like the idea of putting contacts in. Actually did try to do it with some of those colored ones once, took me forever to get them in. Also couldn't stand the feel of them being in.

However, if I can an extra $5000 lying about I'd get eye surgery in an instant.

After a year of more computer use than ever before, no change to eyes!

But optometrist complained about my eyelashes, they kept on getting in the way of the eye tests...
