Moving on (maybe spoilers)

I'd like to read a manga where the love interest causes the main character lots of drama and heartbreak and they eventually move on and give up on them. Maybe the ex/old crush comes crawling back. The point is in the end I want the main character to actually move on and end up w/ someone else. The main character realizing the world does not revolve around that one person and that they could do better and be happier. I don't mind spoilers. I enjoy them. Don't be afraid to spoil me.
Skip Beat for example will almost definitely end like this. It's not over yet but I can say with confidence she definitely wont take Sho back. Maybe I'll get surprised and this will turn out to be like all the others. Lets hope not though eh. :-)
Note: The main character MUST end up w/ someone else or end up alone.

Bokura ga Ita: Has not finished scanlating yet, but the ending is pretty unclear.
Cappuccino: This one for sure.

Personally, I don't think ANY of the characters in Bokura ga Ita move on.
Takahashi is still moping over Yano, Yano was/is all emo over his ex-girlfriend, his ex's sister is still creepily all over him just because he slept with her that one time(?), and Yano's friend (I forget his name, even though I was rooting for him XD) STILL likes Takahashi. Anyway, this is not the place for a rant.
Here's my reccs and my comments are going to be full of spoilers:
17 (SAKURAI Machiko) -- though to be honest, I don't really like how quickly she moved on, especially since her previous relationship was portrayed so wonderfully realistically and it seems like she's just rushing into a shallow crush and being nosy :T
Kurobara Alice -- well, she should be moving on eventually. Kinda mandatory.
Peach Girl -- even though I haven't read this, I know she does end up with a different guy than the one she has a crush on at the beginning.
Parfait Tic! -- I don't quite remember this series anymore, but I know she switch from one guy to the other after much heartbreak and drama
Strobe Edge -- okay, so Nanako won't give up Ren for anything, but Ren moves on after breaking up with his girlfriend with whom he'd had a long, good relationship.
Cardcaptor Sakura -- well, she eventually gives up her crush and goes for someone more her age XD
Sprout -- I actually could not stand any of the characters after the 3rd chapter, but I skipped to the end, so... yeah. There's a break-up and stuff.
Koizora -- she eventally gets a more respectable boyfriend with less baggage who I think can help her get over her first boyfriend.
Cat Street -- she dates one guy and it doesn't work all that great so she eventually ends up with a different one.
Chiro Star Project -- she is pretty stuck on her first boyfriend for a majority of the series (and to be honest, he was a pretty good guy and I don't blame her when I compare him to the crappy guys she puts up with) but eventually moves on.
Paradise Kiss -- I think they only break up at the end, though... but there's this sort of epilogue thing afterwards so you can see she's moved on.
Moe Kare!! -- twins. She starts with one and ends with the other XD
Hotaru no Hikari -- to be honest, I've never felt she was particularly into the first guy, it just seemed more like she wanted to have a boyfriend. But she ends up with someone else anyway.
Whew. I guess that's it for me... For now. -dundundun-

Yeah, Bokura Ga Ita doesn't really fit. Unless in the end she really gives up. Paradise Kiss does but I would prefer it happened earlier. Moe Kare!! wasn't a favorite of mine but it definitely fits. Kimi Wa Pet and Cat Street also fits. I didn't like Peach Girl too much because she seemed very needy and bounced back and forth. I'd prefer a character to move on and not go back and forth.
Hotaru no Hikari is something I haven't read yet so I'll give that one a shot. 😉

lol have you been reading Kimi no Iru Machi......
anyways I can only think of two at the moment which hasn't been recommended and thats
Haru yo, Koi--however there is cheating involved so avoid if you don't want that.
Good Ending--however its quite frustrating at times, male lead runs away like a pussy in tight situations like confessions etc, also does not fight back when punched. But he is growing at the moment and becoming better.
Angel Beats--best anime of the 2010 spring season
