Mine is Kristofer (Pronounced like Christopher).

And since it's my name, it had to be spelled in a cool way of course. cool

And the first ones a winner.
That was remarkably fast, did I give too many hints?

Major Italian city starting with M was a huge hint, and then I thought Milan sounded slavic. By the way, is it pronounced exactly like it's written or Mailan like in English?

And that's an interesting name you have. Does it have a specific meaning in a certain language or is it just an interesting way your parents thought of pronouncing Alice?

I checked the etymology of my name a few years ago and either it comes from the ancient Germanic name "Athalhaid" (I don't see how though) or from the Greek Αλική (sea creature); curiously enough I have a Germanic last name and on the other side both my grandparents from my father's side had names related to the sea (this must be fate laugh )
Later Alice became famous in 19th century thanks to Lewis Carroll's book. It's not a rare name in my country and that's just the standard way it's pronounced in my mother language

It's pronounced as it is written, or for native english speakers more like Me-lahn, or something in that regard.

Camelia sounds like a sweet name, and what about asking your friends to call you Cami instead?

Mine's Alice. Not really original but not too common and I really like it. And since I don't come from an English speaking country, it's not pronounced Alis/Elis. You have to pronounce every letter, including the final e, and the c sounds like the one in "China". I've been called mostly in the wrong way while I was studying abroad because people can't say the "c" in the right way

OMG, eek never think about it before. That's a good idea!
Cami? Cammie? (it's pronounce like the name of the mermaid in OP)... biggrin

How to pronounce urs? A li tse?

My name is Siti, a very common name where I come from, so I hate it. bigrazz But thanks to its commonness there's no way people would misprononounce or mistype it. Unfortunately when I went to Korea I was told to write my name in Hangeul. Since Korean doesn't have si (see) the way they pronounce my name kinda resembled "shitty" eek
