It's Shayla though most people call me Shy. A lot of times people mis-pronounce it as Shyla even if there is another Shayla around... don't get how that works laugh

Interesting topic... won't say my name, though biggrin . It isn't common (in my country, at least). What I can say is that it has given me headaches. Not because it is complicated (on the contrary) it is short and easy to remember, so why do people always write it wrong?? Even my best friend from high school and the doctor I've been going since I was born still misspell it. I had this one science teacher that never called me by my name and I got used to answering by other (sometimes even more difficult) names.

Odd enough, I once took a bio lab in which the first thing the instructor said was that the semester would probably end and he would never learn the names of the class, but as soon as he read my name he quickly found a resemblance to the real source of the name (where my father actually took it from--> Princess Leia from Star Wars) and it was the only name he learned. This really impressed me because never in my life someone has actually gotten that one right, ever, probably because it doesn't really resemble it that much. laugh

@kohaku_626
let me guess, Leyla?
your father is awesome, do you have a brother by the name that resembles Luke?

Thread: my name is Filbert Darren
Filbert is very unusual name here and there are many of my friends who make fun of it, but it doesn't matter since it is actually funny when they say it with mocking sound,
I'm planning to give my future son a Filbert too laugh

Mine's not fancy or mean anything. It's Danny, the nickname of a real name cause it was my dad's nickname(supposedly)... even though his name is Dante.

My middle name is Samuel, but not like mule. That's a normal enough name, gave me the nickname Sammy when I was younger, and I thought it was my first name till I was like in 3rd grade.

Good guess, though my mother actually calls me Layla. By the way, my brothers names came from other backgrounds. One of them is named after my father, who, in turn, was named after his father. As for my other brother, he was a miracle (he almost died at birth) so he was named Jesus. Now that I think about it, both are biblical names.

Two first names: Kai Diego bigrazz

I am half norwegian and half brazilian, so they gave me a normal norwegian name (kai) and a normal brazilian name (diego).

The thing is that in norway my friends ended upp calling me Diego... and in Brazil my friends call me Kai. Probably becouse they thought the most uncommon name was more practical since I was the only one around with those names bigrazz
