when i say dynamic characters and story, i mean a story where stuff actually happens, not just episodic chapters that have an effect on the plot line

like in Haru yo, Koi; stuff actually happens.

not like in say, Pretty Face, where there is a setup, and episodic chapters follow within the bounds of the setup that dont have any real influence on the plot untill the last 3 chapters.

i hope what i said makes sense, but i am basically just looking for a manga, preferably shounen/senien that is action+romance or comedy+romance (or action romance comedy); and i like supernatural and/or mature mangas so that would be a plus. manga/manwha, it doesnt matter to me.

i also dont mind shoujo if it fits the previously mentioned criteria and isnt too girly. for example i enjoyed reading shinobi life.

examples of manga/manwha i really enjoyed so you might know where im coming from: (so you guys can be lazy and dont have to dredge through my lists)
unbalancexunbalance
aflame inferno
Haru yo, Koi
Rosario to vampire
Threads of Time
Berserk
Elfin lied

you get the idea.

edit: oh im also a fan of ecchi, yay boobs....

Well, to me Rosario to Vampire is an episodic manga and totally different from the other ones you cited, so I hope I however understood what you're looking for:

Vampire Juujikai
Chrno Crusade
Spiral -> great story, little romance
ES
Shin Angyo Onshi -> highly suggested
Ares -> at least to me, this have the most dynamic character you can find in a manga/manhwa, the plot is also great. The only minus is that there is almost no romance in it. And it's a manhwa (dunno if you like/hate them). Nephilim from the same manhwaka seems to have similar plot and starts with a little of romance, but only 1 chapter has been translated so far, so I can't really say it.

well i know what you mean about rosario, but it seems like there are two different authors or something, like its episodic and lighthearted, then it gets dark and plot heavy. i was referring to the badass plot heavy ghoul parts. but yeah i can see how that can be missleading.

and yeah i read ES, great story, would be an amazing ability too. i also couldnt think of a better ending.

what about vampire juujikai though? i started reading the first chapter and it just seemed to be a two guys shouting magical attacks at eachother... kinda put me off, but does it get any better?

School Days
Basilisk
Mahou Tsukai Kurohime

and for something that I haven't suggested a million times:

Koi Kaze

First chapter is a prequel. The story is set in modern days and the reason which moves the king of vampire is totally different from what could seems. You can't say there are no plot twists in the next volumes.
The story gets better, even if it's a little strange and I can see that there are some flaws (however I was enjoying it already from the first chapter). But I'm in love with the storytelling ability of Shiroidaira (he is simply the best). Anyway I think that Spiral is better than this and could probably fits your request better (only flaws are that the romance doesn't play an important role in the story and that the story starts slowly and gets better only in the second volume).

And I don't want to sound pretentious, but I think that the manga you're looking for is Shin Angyo Onshi.

whatttt? you havent read berserk yet? set aside time right now and pick that shit up.

gantz (the main character) eats rocks and shits gunpowder. all he does is murder and fck btches. so legit.
seriously though, pick it up, good and interesting plot; told in a rather unique way. the art is also fantastic although the current arc is kinda out there.
