Skipping school is in the grey area on the good/bad scale. A victimless crime that could prove to be a fun adventure. I’d flip a coin that’s what I’d do. If you decide on skipping do something fun as well.

My teachers told me mulitple times that it would go in your record if you do. But, it's your choice. But I advise you not to since 11th grade is actually the most important year of HS that colleges look at. It also depends if your school is lenient on skipping because I know mine isn't, people who get caught at my school get sent to the office and etc...

imo, Wagging isn't really that bad, nothing horrible is going to come out of doing it once in a while, right?
I've never wagged but then I don't think there's a need to, I'm pretty fine with a majority of my lessons.
Usually people wag so that they can avoid a certain subject because they had to hand up some overdue work or an assignment, maybe even an oral-presentation.
Wagging in years 8, 9 and 10 don't really have that much of an impact on your work. But when it gets to years 11 and 12 it definitely isn't advisable.

You should weigh up the consequences/benefits before you decide.
Firstly you should have an excuse or something for missing the class/classes. It's pretty easy to fake a note from your parents or something if you need to. I don't know how your school treats people who skip class but at my school the punishment for being caught is detention for the amount of time you wagged eg. 40 mins for one wagged period. So you should be prepared for the consequences if you do get caught.
Personally i only wag periods which are either hellishly boring or a period i can get out of easily like assembly as they don't mark attendance for assembly.

Also there's not much point in wagging a class/day just for the sake of it. Choose a day/period which is useless, boring or one you hate (like maths xD). Like some of the other users said, you should make sure you actually have something to do because there's not much point sitting around in the library or toilets doing nothing.
And definitely make sure you don't skip and important lesson or day. You don't want to miss a test or assignment deadline.

In the end it's your choice though, if you don't feel comfortable wagging then don't. You'll just spend the whole time worrying and making it unpleasant.

Are you Australian? We do use the term wagging here.

It depends what you do with your time. If you've got nothing to do,you'll wish you were at school. How important you need the classes (e.g if you you are currently doing a complicated topic like conic sections for the first time). What's your school policy? How would your parents feel? We need more to go on here lad.

EDIT: Haha, I just realised this was raised a month ago. Don't mind me.

Go ahead but just don't make it a habit as some others have said biggrin unless there is some heavy penalty/law for wagging school where you live.....
Alot of people in my year level (17-18yr olds) and below wag usually wag the day before a big assignment is due to rush it. Myself included haha.

"Wagging" is used here in New Zealand too bigrazz

Make sure the reason you're skipping school for is good otherwise you're just wasting time.

It's been four years, so I must know, did you regret this decision?

Did you somehow miss an important deadline or test that rewrote your future? Did you possible fail your semester/grade because you decided to skip school on a whim? Did it become an addiction? Did you get caught... did they write you up... oh my, do you possibly have a police report filed under your name now? :'(

Curious minds must know.
