There was one manga I read some time ago. It was made by female mangaka who wanted to show others guys life and their thoughts through comedy, slice of life, school life. Very highly rated mangaka, but tough to find nowdays.
The plot of the story was about one boy who went in high school and worked at the pub. His only guardian - his sister who's a beuty and later on got hooked up with one american pilot who was introduced to her by the main boy. It was hilarious ad there were some short parts with one gay man and he was talanted at one kind of sport, I think, which I don't remember.
Please help me to find it - give me hints, guesses etc.

Is this manga scanlated or not? 'Cause if it isn't, I doubt anyone would know. And when you say 'old', how old do you mean? Like from the 70s? Or later?

dunno if this fits (haven't read the manga), but maybe Natural Might be, from what you described... This one does not seem to have been scanlated

It's scanalated and as I said it was highly rated manga. Plot- easy going. Art syle - realistic, but not detalized. And as I recall there weren't much shadows.
