Loveable/simple/stupid/naive character

I'm looking for a manga with a main character that is either male or female (preferable female). The character doesn't have to be stupid in an intellectual sense but should be simple/naive in a loveable and endearing way thats comical at times. Maybe even ingorant of customs or common sense.
Kind of like a "country to city" thing, where the country bumpkin is ignorant of city ways or "In a foreign land"/"In a new world" thing where the character finds themselves in a new world/country/state of life that they need to get accustomed to.
The plot doesn't have to be "country to city" or any of the others I mentioned those were only examples to give you an idea of what kind of behavior or characteristics I'd like the character to exhibit.

Beast Master might fit that. It isn't the main character and if I tell you too much it'll give it away. But it is a really sweet manga, I definitely recomend it

Lovable simple-minded protagonists:
Nodame Cantabile
Beauty is the Beast
Karakuri Odette, protagonist is naive since she's a robot trying to live as a human.
+C: Sword and Cornett, this might be a bit of a spoiler:
Prince on the run trying to disguise himself as a commoner

Kimi ni Todoke, the main girl is trying to make friends and fit in. It's pretty funny at times and has nice artwork.
The Wallflower, the main girl looks similar to the girl in Kimi ni Todoke(they both follow the scary looking girl from The Ring look), except it's about these four guys trying to turn her into a lady. It's hilarious in the beginning chapters, but then turns into something with a lot of filler chapters.
I also second Nodame Cantabile.

Bara no Tameni - A very sweet, chubby girl who moves into her mother's house which she hasn't seen in her entire life as well as her half siblings. She brings more joy into the house. (Has a bit incest in it)
Yasuko to Kenji - Maybe? She's been surrounded by her hoodlum brother and just wants to be normal I guess XD She keeps on calling him a tyrant 😛

ooh Karakuri Odette is a good one! These kinds of characters make for the funniest mangas, here are some of my favorites:
Dear
Superior
Yotsubato!
Angel Densetsu
Sumire 16 Sai!!
Yanki-kun to Megane-chan
These ones have what you're looking for but I didn't like them as much:

Read all of those except for +C
also Hana to akuma and koukou debut fit as well, other than that all your suggestions are pretty much right on the money 😉

Hadashi de Bara wo Fume
Strobe Edge
Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume
Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen
Ashita no Ousama
I second Saruyama!. Maccharu is sooo adorable!
It could be argued that Kyoko in Skip Beat is naive, and she's definitely loveable. Same could be said about Mizuki in Hana Kimi.

My Barbaric Girlfriend
The guy is very naive imo. Kind of funny too

There is no doubt about it.
Is definitely what you're looking for.
Well, the main character is a girl, she's kind of stupid (well, stupid, but endearingly lovely)--I can't but laugh and like her. She's really simple, her brain is (apparently) wrinkle-free, and she's, well, I think Mafuyu is exactly what you're looking for. 🙂

The girl is a country bumpkin. More stupid, less endearing, at least to me. And note the "tragedy" genre.
I think Nodame is, on the whole, a lot better.

Koukou Debut. Haruna is sweet and very naive, but in a very enduring way.
