Tried to watch Vacation, but it's too sophomore for my tastes, Straight Outta Compton was quite good as was Self/Less, and Fantastic Four was terribly boring. I use primewire.ag to watch bootlegged movies and TV shows. Just gotta be sure to use some sort of ad blocker though. Better than spending $10 for a movie that usually falls short of your expectations eyes eyes

I agree with RoxFlowz about the live action Kiseijuu. Some events were mashed together, which kind of bothered me, but one can't expect it to follow the flow of the manga page for page I suppose. Still, it was better than many live action adaptations of manga/anime.

I watched Interstellar and it was SO GOOD. I love sci-fi/astronomy/physics so I really loved it. There were a few things that were hard to understand (this is sci-fi after all) but overall a great movie biggrin

Not realizing it's in parts, I watched "The Scorch Trials" two days ago. Something was off during the movie, because I kept thinking in my head if I accidentally fell asleep and missed some parts, and it did not made me happy when it ended at a cliffhanger, so yeah, when I came back home and googled it, I saw what I did.
Worst thing to do~! TT___TT

I saw Turbo Kid thanks to RedletterMedia (best youtube channel ever?) and all fans of slocky and overly violent 80s throwbacks should too. It´s basically a no budget Fallout but with a boy X robot romance as a focus and the electronic score is to die for.

Dr.Who and South Park are back and they are expectedly good and all but my TV recommendation goes out to BoJack Horseman.
It got savaged by critics last year and was badly marketed so i only watched a few YouTube clips and moved on but a friend loved season 2 which got astronomical reviews so i started with it and stopped halfway though to watch season 1 first.
S01 is a slow burn midlife crisis about a washed out actor/horse who tries to bounce back and sends the life of everyone around him into a spiraling depression that climaxes in a drug induced homage to Akira and the original Eva ending! Wow. The show though was marketed as a "comedy" so everyone was left confused at first but i obviously loved it.
S02 on the other hand is Arrested Development with heaps of bestiality (thank you Netflix for giving me owl on horse action!) that ends up going after our favorite tv serial rapist Bill Cosby, Scientology and modern Hollywood in a post CGI age. It actually end in even more crushing depression as that is what comedy is supposed to do. To hate the viewer...
Good on you Netflix and keep taking all the horse tranquilizers as the model is working but let´s have someone of actual importance commit suicide next season. Comedy gold!
Edit: Ah yes. What We Do in the Shadows is campy fun.

big hero 6
not a good movie

needed explenations
and better time framing of events in some parts
like
when did the oldmans daugher get stuck
was is just the other day?

why was it so easy for the genius brothers to manufacture that magic/black/magicscifi/science parts that the old man that all of a sudden turned into a arson/murderer just had to "steal"
when he could have just "stolen" it the next day
why could he not wait until that presentation was over
if he was this capable of doing what he did
why did he not figure something like it out before
why not make a bomb? whatever villain needed more time and explenations

why create a robot that noone asked for
that would basically put 1000 000 and millions of ppl out of work in the whole field of med/taking care of ppl
let the human contact be less than 0
why have a retarded mascot richboy running around doing nothing but annoy everyone in the school

it just irritated me

Terminator: Genisys - I liked it, but very confusing at first... Especially if you've seen the first one previously. I like time travel problems... "Is,was will be... Jesus!" - Kyle Reese
Jurassic World - Ok... But there were some things I didn't like, like the raptor training, the instafixed jeep...
San Andreas - Very predictable, but ok.

Recent years saw a string of big budget outer space sci-fi films by talented directors starting with Sunshine that all opened exceptionally and then de-evolved into stylish nonsense. I actually consider Scott´s Prometheus to be the best among them and his
The Martian finally broke the chain as the film keeps being good throughout it´s somewhat predicable run. My favorite genre is finally back, big budget hard sci-fi has also proven viable and i am ready for Star Wars to re-Awaken as i saw The Phantom Meance in the cinema in 1999 dead . That "triology" didn't bringing balance to the force but left it in darkness... I will now predict that Episode VII will beat even Avatar as ticket sales managed to break the internet and 3D/Imax cinemas have booked screenings to a degree never seen before. You were the chosen one Mickey Mouse! Save us or be killed by Mr. Plinkett. Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels and Marvel´s comics are a delight btw.

I am also watching the 2nd seasons of The Knick which may be the best medical show ever and The Leftovers. Both are the most depressing thing on the air and The Leftovers especially can only be described as Lost with a suicide complex.
Now for my second prediction: Namely the latest "death" on The Walking Dead.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Glen
didn´t die and i am not only using the clearly superior comic (10/10) as the source but also the pointless nature of it and the weird camera angle. Let´s find out how good i can guess and i gave up on Fear the Walking Dead after the pilot as it was irritating nonsense and the record setting success is utterly undeserved.

The Martian - So from where will we be saving Mr. Damon next? Jokes aside, the movie is good. There is enough drama, but not too much. The scientific parts seem pretty solid for a layman and the humor works. Easily recommended

Sicario - A rather gray movie, this one. Delightfully so. The fact that the supposed main character is really in the movie just to give the other characters a necessary legistlative veneer to go about their anti-cartel black op and ends up being taken on a ride that is way over her head makes for a refreshing point of view.

I watched Me and Earl and Dying Girl a few days ago. It was frequently funny and very sweet. The quirkiness sometimes toed the line between charming and pointless/annoying, but I found it more likeable than not. Also, I was pleased at the absence of romantic drama. I didn't cry, but my friend definitely shed a few manly tears.

I also watched Housebound (in the same sitting). It was a lot of fun but a little slow-going in the first half. It's clever and funny and inventive and thrilling, if not terribly scary. Morgana O'Reilly is seriously awesome though.
