I'm a girl and would prefer one rose. o-o

Though I would prefer none actually since flowers aren't really my thing...they die eventually. And I would probably kill it somehow. >.< Like putting too much water is something I'd definitely see myself doing...

Single rose. It's pretty and not too bulky.

The perfect symbol for love.
It slowly withers away and dies.
Until we learn that the only reasonable
symbol to give is a steel ball.

A single rose. To me it seems more romantic smile

Something about a Bouquet which makes it seem like I'm trying too hard.

A single rose. With its thorns left on it, just filed down so they can't hurt you.

Bouquets are nice.. but they're so impersonal. A single rose to me seems more meaningful... like quality over quantity.

Mamsmilk, you're a genius. biggrin

Though, if you think about it, the rose really is a perfect symbol of love. Remember how I said that a rose could be pressed and kept in a book forever? Obviously, love can last forever, but only if it's pressed and dried and drained of all color, beauty and passion. (Read: Until it becomes a "marriage".)

This is so much fun. Deconstructing romantic symbolism!

I like both choices, however, a single rose is what I would like the most. A Bouquet is just too much! laugh

Bouquet seems to be a little too desperate for me. A single rose seems to signify that the giver is giving all of their love to the person who they give that rose to. I'm a guy and I would only accept a single rose from a person. Bouquets would be met with cold rejection and a small lecture. Then again, I normally reject every and all confessions, Valentine's day chocolate and dance requests. The dance requests are because I can't dance, the rest are because I'm not worth it.

Last year, someone gave me a single rose. And honestly I don't appreciate it. Wahahahahaha! Too bad for him though. I'm quite familiar with roses and stuff because I always handle it in every special occasion. So, there. I don't quite like it and its wilted as well. Which is oh no. Your not going to give me that wilted flower. But I do acknowledge that he gave me one. Though it was really bad. bigrazz

So, I'm going to Bouquet. smile The more the better. smile

I say bouquet, single roses are kind of akward and a little pretentious. You know like you get a bouquet and your like oh how nice I can make an arrangement out of this, you get just one and your like what should I do with this? I mean, I could put it in a vase, but the stem's so long and then it just looks akward over there by itself.. Maybe I could put it in an arrangement with some other flowers? But then again there's only one. Also it comes across as trying too hard. Like "here I'm gonna give you this rose because I'm really romantic and cool and I don't need to try too hard to get you".
Actually... I don't like roses I like sunflowers... I say you find out her favorite flower and bring it to her, it's so much more romantic. Or maybe there's a not so cliche flower that remind you of her? Roses are everyone's "special flower" pick something else.

hey! don't be so down on yourself! somebody obviously thinks your worth it, or else they wouldn't put themselves through the embarassment of doing it. I'd reject a dance request too, though. I'm so terrible at slow dancing. I always manage to step on everyone's feet, like everyone, including the couples near me. So if you can't don't.
