I love strong protagonists, and they can be strong in any way, mentally, physically emotionally...
I hate protagonists with no dignity, self respect or understanding of who they are.
I hate immature protagonists. I don't mean ditzy or silly protagonists but ones with zero self confidence or self-awareness and I hate it when they don't realise that actions have consequences.
I really don't like stories that are only about sex, I like character and relationship development and character growth. If it is a one shot full of smutty scenes, please no, I am ok with smut as long as it is nearing the end of the manga once the characters know and understand one another mentally.
Girls who do stupid things, run crying to a boy and are told that it wasn't there felt makes me want to kill people, so none of that.
I love kind and friendly weirdoes as the characters who don't take things too seriously, alternatively, I also love really serious manga and a mixture is awesome.

So, if there is a manga or a book out there that allows for this, my life will be complete until I finish it. Also if it hasn't been rated on my reading list, don't forget to mention it because I might have forgotten about it. Thanks.

thank you, I read the three chapters of hibi chouchou and I am pretty sure I have two others down, but I can't actually remember what I just did, which is slightly concerning. I have given Usagi Drop a go, and I can't remember why I stopped reading it. I have also given Immortal rain a go, I think, but it may be another one that is on your list.
