Used XBox360, all connection cables, 2 controllers, 9 games, & "guitar hero 2" guitar, all "in great working order, never had a problem with it" for $350.

My kids *desperately* want me to buy it, but...that's a lot of money...in your opinion, is it a good deal??

That's a great deal, actually. I mean, the core system itself is normally 280 bucks, without tax. The games are normally 50-60 bucks a piece. Thats a good deal already.

Although, this is just from calculations of the things I see at the store, and the calculations from when I was thinking about buying one. I don't actually own one. These are retail prices though, just to tell you.

do a little research on whether it is a core, pro, or elite system. these are all xbox's but they all range in price by $100 bucks. but if you want the games and guitar hero that is an excellent deal. your kids will love it. biggrin maybe have someone that knows a lot about video games look at it as ebay'ers tend to be a tricky bunch and i've heard of some mean schemes used on parents (like just selling the games box, etc)

basically if it is as stated, yes, good deal.

Thanks for the replies - actually it's not online, it's local, so I don't have to worry about paying the money before I see the actual item. eyes I'm emailing to find out more about it - verrrry tempting, but it's still a lot of money (even if it's a great deal).

Actually, Tofuqueen, while its a good deal, there tends to be more problems with the xbox 360 and if your buying it used, you might not be able to send it back for repairs, so in the long run it might not be worth it, if it ends up breaking down and you cant get it fix'd a small amount of money, it might just be easier to buy a new one with the thingy so you can send it back, if needed, sure the games will cost more in the store, but it would be much less of a hassle(sp?)

Thingy? You mean Warranty? It's only a year warranty anyway(at least I think it is)

And as long as you have the serial # information and the cust. service number, you can always send it back to the manufacturer for a refurb.

New, that stuff would run you about 800 bucks, including GH. It's your call.

You sure that you could send it back, even if you weren't the orig owner?

it may be a stupid question, but I've never thought of that x.X

Actually I think Microsoft extended the warranty on all Xbox 360s. Anyway Tofuqueen if you do get it keep it in a cool enviroment (like your freezer) if the xbox gets too hot it'll start having loading problems or even worse, the three rings of death. Xbox's are notorius for overheating (even the original had this problem) so keeping it cooled down is a must!

for 300 bucks, it's cool, but what I'm thinking is get a new one, reason is the 360 does break, if you don't got warranty, then you'll have some problems.

Had mine for 2 years and never had a problem with it, but I've heard lots of people have. It's a good deal money-wise, if you know the person personally and can vouch that it will be in good condition, even better.

Theres a few new games there, if the kids don't like the others you could trade them in at a store for some better ones.

You'll need batteries for the wireless controllers every now and then too. It's not very often though, only changed mine a few times since I bought my 360.

Thanks for all the replies, I decided to go for it. Everything looks clean & in good condition, and the seller got it going with one of the games & it runs fine. He said he's never had a problem with it overheating, though it does run better when it's horizontal than when it's vertical.

My boys do plan on selling most of the games - and the X-Box we already have - to pay me back. I figure I've got yard work pretty well covered for the summer, too. laugh
