Nah Germany played really well.

What I liked is how they played as a team. Argentina, my god they refused to pass the ball when they were in the box! They had so many chances to do something with it, but the final pass wasn't there.
Their first goal was offside as well. Only 4 of them were offside 🤣 Not so lucky this time.

This made Englands score not look so bad. At least England scored 2 back. (Yes. It was 2 dammit XD)

Ahaha as I said, Germany won. It doesn't matter that Argentina had the best player in the world in their team, their tactics and their defense just not good enough. Maradona is an idiot who should have never been selected as coach. Now hopefully Spain will win quarter final, semi final, and final!!

OUTFUCKINGSTANDING GERMANY. KLOSE'S BEEN AMAZING. THE ENTIRE TEAM'S BEEN AMAZING. EVERY PLAYER PLAYED BY THE RHYTHM OF THE ENTIRE TEAM. THE FLOW WAS SMOOTH. THE DEFENSE WAS ROCKHARD. THE GOALIE WAS AMAZING. THE TEAM KEPT THEIR COOL THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MATCH AND WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE WHAT MOST OF THE LOSER TEAMS FAILED AT -> GOOD FINISH AND CALM, ACCURATE GOALS.

This is what you get for not bringing Cambiasso and Zanetti.
Zanetti would have brought his class and some calm to the defence. Messi can only perform if he has a tackling midfielder like Cambiasso shielding him (Mascherano is bollocks, imho), just like how Zidane had Makelele for France/Real Madrid.

Credit to the Germans, they fully deserved the win. Argentina basically self-destructed after the first goal.

Still been a reasonably good World Cup, this one (plus, I made a nice sum of $$ from Holland's win yesterday =D ).... and it's been a credible tournament ever since the last knockout stage (basically after the Wanker and Co were knocked out by a clearly superior and more entertaining Spain.... too bad Freenoob still hasn't stopped yapping through his arse, though.)

Based on results and the teams they beat, Germany and Holland are probably favourites for the final (even if Spain beat Paraguay later). The team that's surprised me the most has been Uruguay, though.... considering they barely managed to qualify for the WC. Ivory Coast and Cameroon were the most disappointing, and Japan deserved better, imho.

Just a shame that the best player in the world is out (Messi), so lets hope the second and third best players in the world (Iniesta and Xavi, imho... though Germany's Muller is making a very strong case for himself) start to shine.
