Yaoi is porn for women that objectifies men. That's what I like about it. But you're right, I don't know why there can't be het eromanga for women that objectifies men. I've been searching...

I guess it goes along with the ideas of women's sexuality in Japan. But I'm not going to bother writing much about that. There are plenty of papers on the subject.

It is interesting that it's always the woman showing skin in women's eromanga. I read a paper about ladies' comics that claimed this was to make the female reader compare her own body to the drawn one and so better imagine the imaginary sex happening to her. I think this is a strange idea...

Personally, I think it's because women's bodies are prettier to look at than men's, but I'm probably not a good reference. D:

A lot of yaoi is just boring plot + cliched smut + bad art. That's what I don't like about it. If you think it's porn, then go for it.

There are yaoi doujinshis that look like hentai (not bara), without the usual yaoi art but more like good hentai art, sometimes with even monsters and tentacles too. You can say those objectify men. They do exist. Not sure how many of them have been translated though. laugh

I don't read hentai but i read smut
Hentai tend to dehumanize women, and it's targeted toward men. I'm looking for naked men, not naked women.
On the other hand, Smut is targeted toward women, it shows sex, romance, and good looking anime guys.
I read yaoi too, double male, no female distraction on my view.

so i don't think women read hentai, but a lot of women read porn.
the female porn market tend to be conservative (except yaoi) because women perfer romance and storyline. I wish there were more actions in them.

so woman read porn, just not the same porn as male.

When I wanna read porn I usually go for yaoi doujinshi, since they objectify men and not women. I'd LOVE to read straight hentai made for women, but I'm kinda reaching the conclusion that they doesn't exist. bigrazz So untill I someday find some straight hentai that doesn't focus entirely on the female (soooooo boring) I'm gonna stick to yaoi porn. wink

Yes, we're just as perverted as guys are. Most of my friends like porn, I haven't personally looked at it in like a year (family computer FTL!) And yes, we hide it better. But we're just as shallow and talk about sex just as much and possibly think about it more than you guys do because we don't have to worry about getting a boner lol. I think I could say that nobody ever knows that my head is full of perverted thoughts, and at any given moment, if there's a guy I like, I'm thinking about sexing him up, lol.

It's so shocking to me that guys can't believe how perverted girls can be, and "omg girls look at porn/masturbate!!1?!1!?11confused". Please. We just don't show our perversions! ^_^

As for hentai, I'm not a fan of most of it because it's like FFF-cup chicks, and really, the tits are way too distracting and unrealistic. I'm nitpicky about the details...>>;

A comment was made here in the forums about how women aren't interested in hentai, and how any woman that claims she's interested in hentai is lying.

Well there shouldn't be this thread in the first place lol, discussing it because words "Women who claim to be reading hentai" says it all.

Why would you claim to be reading hentai and not read it? It's like wearing a trenchcoat, glasses and a santa beard and claiming to be a pedophile but not being one....doesn't make sense.

have any of you heard your girlfriend or girl friends claiming women to be more perverse than men? I have...alot. I believe it but at the same time i don't because im a guy and i can claim to have seen it all! laugh <--- don't ask.

I'm sure there is a fair amount of perveted girls out there but i suppose not alot of them like admiting they are pervs in reality like guys (example casualy talking about masturbating, tentical porn in the open and tips on the best masturbating methods in a museum eek ? ) Hence the stereo type?
I said not alot of girls, not none.

maybe its a culture thing?hmmm?

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

That's exactly it, though. I mean, you're kind of brought up (if you're a girl) with the notion of "be sexy, not sexual"...well, that doesn't exactly work, does it? We don't openly talk about stuff like this because people look down on girls who openly admit to looking at porn, or masturbating, or whatever, as weird, or whorish. I remember being in like 7th grade and discussing that with my friends, all of them girls, who said, "You're disgusting, masturbation is for guys", only to have one girl come up to me after everyone had left and admitting that she did it too.

And NkdMasterx, you seem to have a skewed idea of what 'to claim something' really means. It just means you state that you do something.

I love yaoi, but though I'm somewhat reluctant to admit it, I don't find hentai all that bad. I enjoy reading the more 'tasteful' series, if that even makes sense. Ugh, I don't even know what I'm saying anymore... dead

That's because you were in the 7th grade. Trust me, older women are far more "shameless" (for lack of a better word) about that kind of stuff now. And men of our age are far less surprised and more laid-back to hear those things about women. They are way too different from those 7th grade or whatever boys. But this age issue can also be a culture thing. Interesting though.

That is exactly my point. Why would you "claim" doing something that obvious and not doing it. That means that as a matter of fact, girl who says she is reading hentai, is doing so, instead of "claiming" it. In fact if you re-read what I posted it will all make sense. Like i said if you were wearing a trenchcoat, grandad glasses, and a fake santa beard, and saying that you are a pedophile, then most likely - you are, which means you are DOING IT, instead of just CLAIMING it, because claiming it and not doing it while having all attributes for it, doesn't make sense... (in an exception of halloween of christmas partys, but don't get picky about that).

Aside from all this, it was interesting of fr33noob to suggest that it somewhat could be a cultural thing to be perverse as a woman, I mean I've spoke so some asian girls from middle east, and some of them are like that because in their religion it is restricted to be perverse and have sex before marriage, which is why they have the desire for perversion and are also quiet about it, due to their parents, friends, etc. I guess reading hentai in their case is a satisfaction of some sort of fantasies to which they are restricted in real life. But then again, that's just my point of view...

Sometimes, cause some of em have really nice art, but after a while I'm like "ugh" cause they start to look the same.
Porn is disgusting to me. Maybe I was too young when I first encoutered it? Who knows.
Are chicks perverted? HELLS YEAH! And it's even worst cause they can be thinking or talking about all kinds of things and you won't know.

Now, about these Romance novels, they do get very graphic, especially Paranormal romances. But if it's books from authors like Debbie Macomber, than they're pretty chaste. But anything with "Highlander" "Warrior" or "Dark", in the title I would suggest you stay away from unless you want some sexy time.

I think that's totally cultural. For example, here in Brazil 14 years old is the "normal' age to lose your virginity, and there are some 7th graders that are 14 years old. So in general Brazilian girls are very open about sexuality, my girlfriend is so open sometimes she make me think "she will have my ass" with how perverted she is. But for example in almost every Islamic country talking about sex is a real tabboo even for mature women

Now, saying women are as perverted as men I will have to disagree, but I thinks this is talk for another topic
