Well on the bright side mangafox is reevaluating the ones reported as mistagged. Like Kaichou wa Maid-sama had a mature tag (or lolicon don't remember) but that was a mistake so now they fixed it.

I am so mad at that @@@@@ *insert expletive of your choice* who wrote that stupid article!!! Manga Fox is not just going after shotacon and lolicon (which in my opinion is a good thing) but it's going after anything deemed "adult". That is so aggravating!!!!!!!!!! There are some really good series that I wanted to read but can't now thanks to that stupid article. mad mad mad

If you guys (well the ones that are most affected are girls) are so upset about this, then write a letter.

You could also boycott the site.

But you guys are fangirls and will eventually not care. Then, you'll go back for the Yaoi that's still on the site.

Not to mentionI m a retard who doesnt know how to use the IRC. Tried to do it once, and dont know if it was because of my computer or something, it didnt work out, so I have to depend on DDLs and mangareading sites. And oh, I m too lazy to look up examples of mangas, that could only be found on MangaFox, but there really are mangas like that, and you must be kidding if you cant remember MangaFox having a vast library. It had the biggest collection, much more than Toshokan, or OneManga and the other reading sites are subpar besides these three, maybe AnimeA is pretty good though

We need to stop all this nonsense... if a site wants to upload mature things then why not? It's not like it's gonna kill anyone, as long as they got a mature warning on it then it should be fine, we need to stop the nazi like actions, if it's sooo bad then you don't have to look at it.

MangaUpdates is an information site, it's not like they're really putting it out there. Search it and you'll find it, but they're not saying anything like "Hey! Read this!" or something. It's still the audience's choice whether they want to read/watch the alleged stuff or not.

Going off topic here...
Dance in the Vampire Bund is licensed by Seven Seas. I haven't bought any of the manga yet but did they even do any censorship? I mean, yeah they cancelled Kodomo no Jikan but everyone knows why they did that. Dance in the Vampire Bund is lolicon, but it's not like you see Mina seducing Akira into bed or sexually teasing him.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Plous Mina is not really a loli, her real form is of a mature woman's but she hides it so that the elder vampires cant find out the fact that she is ready to be a mother and if something happens between Akira and Mina, Mina is more likely to use her mature form

Yeah, I know that... but Mina is portrayed as a 17-year old who looks like a 10-year old during most of the time. My point is that they're not doing anything wrong. True, there might be nudity (for Nina) at times but it's not like they go all out on that as well...

Some people just like to preview their manga first,
okay, and not download the whole volume/chapter. mad

Isn't that what informational sites are for? >_>
Besides, one chapter wont hurt you THAT much. At the most, they'll be 50mb...and those are rarer than a shiny pokémon.

You're referring to MU? Ehm, no... Plenty of manga have interesting
concepts. There's a huge difference between concept and execution.

Also, you ignored the one volume comment,
tsk, tsk. :B Point of the matter is I prefer it, okaii.

Whoa, so it really was that article that set off the whole thing? An L7 article? That's ridiculous! L7 has lolicon reviews and tons of lolicon jokes, and it's always supporting a fanboy's typically-flawed view of "freedom of speech". And, looking around, it's all the same guy that's writing these things. What the hell happened to change him from a pro-porn, pro-loli, pro-free internet fanboy to the most effective manga-censoring force to ever be unleashed in the Western world?

Did he just want to be noticed?

Anyway, I'm glad now that we have hardly any advertising on here, otherwise we likely would have been targeted, too.

Ignorant people like to stay ignorant.

This is the most obvious example that some laws
are just made arbitrarily with no research at all. mad

Laws regarding any type of child porn or anything connected to it will always be arbitrary. Child porn will never be under evaluation.

And gov doesn't have the time to check every site.

Actually, Mina is a vampire and therefore immortal. So, she is ALOT older than 17.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Theres even a scene of her in her child form interacting with a baby Akira.

On another note, regarding what is and what isn't "child porn", the argument could be made any material which depicts persons of a child like appearance engaging in sexual acts or shown with anykind of nudity.

That definition would encompass mangas where the romance isn't between a kid and some creepy old guy, but between minors(anyone under 18). It would also include mangas where the nudity is "innocent".

Though it'd be hard to argue innocent nudity, when it could be argued that such scenes were included deliberately in such a fashion as to make it appear "innocent".

Anywho, if Dance in the vampire bund is regarded as child porn then tora dora is too.
