I find atheism amusing because I see people in parks preaching atheism. consider that a religion.

edit: based on people's responses, there seems to be a distinction between cultural religion and theistic religion

I am a theist (hindu).But i certainly cannot follow all the teachings of it .I can say that i am doing only 10% of how a hindu must live.I dont even celebrate all my religious festivals. And i have not even read all my religious scriptures.(Unlike bible or quran we have many religious scriptures)But i ticked regularly practice religion because whatever i am doing i have faith in it and am satisfied.

"being careless [about religion(s)]", "[wanting to be considered] NEUTRAL" and "being too lazy to give a..." make me think that you might have been feeling like an apatheist (that in your life, there is more important business than religion).

On my part, I guess I would have voted for "having apatheistic aspirations" if it were an option.

I'm catholic, but far from being an extremist. I guess I just take the parts I like and make them my own version of this religion. Is it contradictory? Maybe. But since it doesn't hurt anyone, I'm fine with it. I only dislike people who want to shove their beliefs down other people's throats, them being theists or atheists or anything else doesn't matter. And not just about religion.

Agnostic here. Mainly, I believe that we need to reserve judgment until we have definitive proof of something, and atheism and theism don't do that.

Agnostic, but I definitely don't believe in a 3O God, just doesn't logically work for me.

As for the above comment, I'd argue that definitive proof is subjective since definitive is subjective.

man edge is really flowing hard from here, all the kidding aside nowadays people really try hard to look kewl or different, its really pathetic because basically they are just subtly screaming that please give me attention, all the people here who are worried that not practicing a religion make them atheist, its not like that having faith is much much better than claiming that someone is atheist just because its hip and kewl to be atheist and hipster, and I doubt anyone here is born in an atheist family, but i can still see a ray of hope that all the people here who do know what they are talking about didn't vote or voted the second option, but on the sometime Its still quite discouraging to see atheist has the hight votes

I can't follow a religion who's not my personal justice but I'm wrong often and I discover new thing so I don't think I will obey a religion but learn from them. I may learn lessons known by a lot of people but I think I want to be different even if it's from behind.
I may not make sense because I'm French and I don't even make sense in my language but I think the poll are interesting for understand the politics.

yeah i know atheism exist but ask yourself, on the so called social media have you ever seen a religious person or people with faith making constant posts "i am so proud to have faith in a higher being" no! but you must have seen People making countless posts "fuck the police" "atheists are intelligent that's why i am a proud atheist" believe it or not for attention and satisfying their insecurity people want to be addressed with ze/ghe they/them before internet it was not like that on tumblr there is like a lot of lgbt and atheism cancer, it's just a new kind of fishing for attention. and i hope you haven't selected atheist.
it's really true that too much freedom is also dangerous, just because people have freedom of speech and are free to choose their own identity doesn't mean you should choose to become something different (like lgbt and atheism) just for the sake of being different,
and your post really have made me realise that i am a somewhat of a conservative person and i am not really ashamed of it

The key here is the word proof. Since definitive is modifying a word that's defined as a piece of evidence or argument used to establish fact, it's effectively making it so that any conclusion would have to be based in fact. So yes, definitive can be subjective but proof cannot.

You think people latch onto being lgbtq or atheist for the sake of being different? Sexual/romantic attraction, gender identity, and not believing in a god are quite personal things. I feel your case is based in you not liking atheist (or lgbtq) people. And for what it's worth, religions do tie into identity. Many religious people feel proud of their religions and have a community with it.
