You might wanna try rosario + vampire manga..not the anime it was horrible but it focuses on the main character trying to hide the fact hes a human in a school full of demons and monsters it gets a little more shonen later on but its still quite good. ah but it is a harem tho lots of girls like the main character but i still think its up your alley

oh gorio is fits in pretty good. aboout a guy who looks like like a delinquent but he's really a good boy. he gets into fights because of his looks - he wins them also because he lose conciousness or something and he goes nuts. there hasnt been a new chapter translated in a while tho

change 123 is also pretty good - about a girl who has split personalities that are fighters and she tries to keep it a secret and live a normal life

Gokusen - teacher from a mafia family hiding her fighting abilities

I know this thread is from a few days ago (to over 2 weeks ago), but I can't help but respond to it. I think the TC is thinking something more of a "magical super-hero" type of story more-so than simple double lives.

That is a little tricky...

Shoujo-wise...

Arisa - Made by one of my fav mangakas, which involves a lot of mystery/friendship than romance. I have a feeling romance might still come into play but this mangaka always made stories that differ from the other shoujos. The main character pretends to be her twin sister in order to solve a huge mystery in her sister's school. She wears a wig to hide her yankee dyed hair (-yep, a tomboy), but she has to use amnesia as an excuse as to why she's not acting like her twin sister. The question is, how long can she hide her identity from others and who is the ________? Can't spoil too much here. 🙂

Wild Ones - It's about a girl, who discovers that she's related to the yakuza. She ends up having to deal with situations where she has to hide her family from classmates and there are some other classmates of hers, who must conceal their yakuza connections as well. This one is more on the romance side, but it's still a fun manga.

Kaitou Saint Tail - Magical shoujo, which is a classic. A girl uses magic tricks to steal back stuff for other people. Only one person knows who she really is, and her clueless love interest is the guy trying to catch her. >.<

Edit: I just thought of it! Ahhh..
Otomen - Guy, who has to pretend that he's manly to everyone in his school, but in truth, he likes to do girly hobbies like sewing, baking, etc. Buuut, this does involve some romance, but the romance is towards a girl, who is the exact opposite of him. She doesn't try to hide anything about herself too much though. Oh yeah, and the guy's best friend is trying to hide the fact that he's a mangaka pulling the strings....

The only real shounen I can think of, which involves secret identities, is...

Magic Kaitou (Kaitou Kid) - made by Gosho of Detective Conan fame. A high schooler, who uses magic to steal back stuff and run away from the police. (Sort of like Kaitou St. Tail, but not quite... I don't actually like Kaitou Kid's school-life personality, but I hope to see him and Conan work together one day.)

The only seinen I can think of, with secret identities is...

Darker than Black: Shikkoku no Hana - It's easier to follow this if you watched the anime. This happens after the frist two seasons of DtB. A special kind of contractor hides his identity behind a mask in order to fight other contractors. He use to go by "Li" as his alias name in the first two seasons, but now...... Is he just going to go by his real name? (Oh yeah, DtB is not generally a school story series, but this manga seems to be involving some school related stuff. =.=)

I do kind of wish there were more "secret identity" stories out there and not just "secret abilities". (And I don't mean mahou shoujo..)

Arago - Not quite the same as trying to hide it and live a normal life but more like Ao no Exorcist.
Nurarihyon no Mago - It start out that way but then turns into typical shounen battles, but the beginning is good.

I'll second Change 123 and Gokusen.

One of the first that came to mind is Onegai Teacher, but it looks like you've already read it.

I'll also suggest Gunnm (also called Battle Angel Alita), History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Sekirei, Ah! My Goddess (the powers aren't his, but I still think it may fit- technically, you didn't specify whose powers they are), Magikano, Bleach, and Inuyasha.

And last but not least, GTO (just kidding, I saw your sig and couldn't resist). 😀

Black Haze is a great really op male lead. He's not trying to be pretending that he is a normal well a normal kid trying to learn magic. But man is he op than any other characters. He's like Op dude, you must check it out

Bokura no Kiseki well everyones getting their memory back, of their past lives. The main character already remembered his past life before anyone. He remembered it ever since he was born. People who had remembered all rembember their princess. However the main character is trying to hide the fact that he was their princess.

Tower of God you might know this one already. In season two he tries to hide who he is from everyone. He seems weak but he is actually really strong. However in season two he does not hide the fact he is strong

Saiki Kusuo No Sainan really op character that just tries to not let anyone know.

Zero wants to live in peace with his sister however he is the zero subject and is powerful. Soon gets sent into a school

So what do you think of all of them. I listed the ones I like. Well I dropped Zero but I'll read it again

Kono Oto Tomare! its still ongoing though

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei - the main guy character acts like he doesn't have special powers but does. They get found out but I think it's still pretty good.

Iris Zero - this is a little bit of the opposite. He is weak whereas others are strong but he is mentally stronger than most and tries to hide everything about him.

Grand Sun - this is shoujo and focuses on the romance at the end, but she's a bodyguard that has to conceal herself.
