Well it was as expected but it was pretty cool how it was done. I hope she doesn't die though.

i thought that we would finally see someone die.. but like almost every other shonen manga out there the author is too big of a pussy to kill someone

Its not like she really died though. After they win, they'll be ported back to their time and she'll be alive and well.

nah, I doubt there will be a return to seven years ago. It would undo everything here, Fairy Tail is much less bloody (for the good guys anyways) than Rave Master, I agree, but who knows what could happen, it might be the turning point where things get into high gear. I mean this arc is the main storyline and it is longer than any other so far, its very important and I hope it has some lasting effects.

After seeing how many people bitch about GRRM killing off so many characters of importance I'm not surprised that other authors chose to avoid death. Be it a novelist or a mangaka.
Still, it's not like we've had no death in FT - Simon got killed a few arcs back. Not a main character, but a death nonetheless.
I'm actually thinking that there will be some deaths to come, but not in the current arc - there are still Zeref and Acnologia to deal with. He can't kill off half the characters before the "final battle" even begins.

I think the way Gray was revived was not dramatic enough... But the way things ended for Ultear was kind of sad (even if she didn't die). She risked her life to save others, but thought that that one minute was useless...
