Sorry for being a noob but I was wondering why my topic Suzuka159 got locked?

Because you should use Add Release option in your CP instead
of creating a thread about it...

As for the series I can't wait for the final conclusion..and
I hope the mangaka will not make a lame ending..
And just please no more twists in the story bigrazz

Correct about the reason. Since I forgot to write a reason when I locked the thread, sorry about that.

Next time when you have a release, just go to your User CP and click on "Add Release"

Finally, 159 smile wink grin

I guess you guys have already read it so this one I'm posting wouldn't really be a spoiler anyway ^_^

As long as they're together eyes

Now that they're settled on keeping it, what would be the typical and not so typical difficulties would these two face... confused

Would Yamato go back to that work he did to raise money to buy a computer but ended up giving it all up at a shrine to ask for something good to happen?

Would he have his own stall since he's really good at cooking stuff as well...confused He could still work at his Aunt's Mansion Dorm for Women/Bathhouse as he used to? An errand boy since he's good at running...?

Wait, what would the other characters say once they decide to tell it...?

Wah! laugh I just can't keep it all in me cry of joy.

I am personally disappointed in the two of them. I don't know where a non-college educated guy like Yammo is going to get a job in Tokyo. Let alone enough to support his new family!

Plus I think everyone they know will be mad at them for a lot of reasons. -- there's just too many to list.

I hope they have enough sense to stay in school, whether they have the baby or not, they are gonna be screwed.

Damn silly kids!

I'm not nessecarily in favour of the abortion route but I can't see how having a baby that they are ill prepared for can be any better. I agree wtih vinceasuma, there is no way Yamato can get a job with a salary high enough to support Suzuka and a baby. Especially when taking into account all the things they will need to buy and also the medical bills, although I'm not sure if Japanese healthcare takes care of these things.

Alot of this will depend on their parent's reaction to this, since realistically they will be largely dependent on them for money if not anything else. Not to mention actually taking care of the baby is a full time job, Suzuka atleast will not have much time for anything else especially when the baby is just born.

That's where the romance sets in. Too happy enough to throw reason away and if all the joy is too much, things do work out eyes

Of course, SEO Kouji definitely has something which made you guys think suddenly of such implications. smile wink grin

Where on earth is all this gloom and doom coming from? confused

Young couples have been coping wth unexpected babies since the beginning of time. Things may be tough for their new family, especially at first, but the only way things will get really bad is if they're totally rejected by both their families, and I certainly don't see any signs of that happening. roll eyes

The best possible outcome for them, of course, would be for their families to provide enough assistance so they can both go through college, with Yamato working part- or full-time and maybe Suzuka starting a year late because of the baby.

Other possibilities: Yamato finds a full-time job as a cook or restaurant worker and the two of them live in Ayano-san's boarding house. Or Yamato goes to work for his father and they live with his family.

Their families may get pretty upset about the baby and their decision to keep it, but there's no way I can see their families just turning their backs and abandoning the two of them.

well said, tan.

I still think the author wants track to be a huge part of the manga... I think that Arima's still gonna get beat down... and Yamato claiming #1 sprinter or something. I think the author wants to convey to us that no matter what circumstances, if you never lose sight of your true goal (ie suzuka), you'll still excel in anything else (ie track).

Im with tanstaafl, I know 4 of my former classmates got the same situation and all of them were accepted by their parents. The family assisted them to finish college and find a job afterwards. No family with close ties will ever leave their sons/daughters because of that reason.

So, i guess suzuka-chan and akitsuki-kuns parents will both accept them in the end =) who wouldn't want a first granchild anyway? =)

Oh and i just remembered, the lucky charm that akitsuki gave to suzuka is for a child delivery right? lol

Damn i can't get enough i need to see the next chapter >.<

I just hope that they don't end the manga anytime soon.

But, it would be sweet if they release a season 2 of the anime biggrin

that would be a lot of fun. bigrazz

Yes, the story is definitely moving along; things are getting quite interesting now.

Poor Yamato: hope he makes it through all this in one piece! eek

the level of the story is changing continuously..this is not shounen-ish IMO, this is more seinin-ish..talking about pregnancy and having a baby, change of career plans..its pretty serious and harsh actually..none were the traces of the romantic harem comedy it started with.. cry

and i honestly dont know if i still love it because of that..its more like loyalty i guess..but, it is still definitely a good read.. eyes

According to the Wiki article on the Suzuka manga, Kouji Seo always meant the series to be a romance and never had any intention of it being a harem manga. smile

Personally, I like the way the story changed direction after the beginning. To me, the first few chapters seemed like generic ecchi romantic comedy fluff: some sexy and funny moments, but nothing that really pulled me into the story. (The fact that several of the characters and situations looked like they were lifted straight out of Maison Ikkoku didn't help any...)

It wasn't until the manga settled down and started concentrating on story, character development, relationships, and realistic issues that I got really wrapped up in the manga.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would guess that the change in the type of story probably cost the series some readers.

Some would enjoy the boobs-in face and buns-in-face gags at the beginning, but lose interest once the story became more serious and thought provoking. Others would be bored by the silly nonsense in the early chapters, and wouldn't stick around long enough to discover the much different type of story further on.
