I always skipped Swedish class because i dont like why in Finland we must learn it just because of 5% ppl here speak it.
I never would need it on my life anyways.

I never skipped it, but now that I think about it, it would be great to
speak it fluently. smile

Finnish and English enough for me ^^

Being one of the 5% that actually speak Swedish, I wish I could have the same attitude towards Finnish. But saying "why do I need to learn Finnish when only 95% speak it, it's not like I'm gonna need it anyways" sounds just a little bit too stupid. laugh

That being said, I've still skipped my share of Finnish classes. bigrazz

I don't really skip alot, my school is to small to actually just hang out and the doors we have to the outside that are near the front office. But it's not like I'd want to hang out in the area my schools at.
>.>
<.<
I'd rather just tell my mom that I'm not going to school and save her the trouble of getting up to drive me. wink

my school had a little mall across the street one way and a huge mall across the street the other way, more reasons to skip

As do I, but really?
French was only mandatory for my first year of high school.
After that, I was allowed to stop taking it thus I chose a different language elective.

I only skipped those few days before exams where all you did was sit there. Those were incredibly boring. My english teacher even let us leave during middle of class, because all we did was watch a movie.

NUUU~ I wasn't skipping~ I was sick! Really! ;D

But no, I don't "Skip" because my school only allows 5 absences a semester....and they count "time out of class" as absences so I can't afford to skip school....

In gr.6 I skipped school so badly the governor of education had to request an appointment from us to meet. Apparently they counted the days I moved too, but deleting those days, the absence days were still quite huge... Enough to give me a warning "if this ever happen again, we'll meet at the court".. WTF, to think it was all in gr.6 >_>

Then in gr.8 i was still skipping but i tried not to keep a pattern =DD so i was off then biggrin

@Sagaris, you only need one credit for french.. which you could have taken in gr.9. Or are you in gr.9? O-o

Wow, in my school, to graduate, we had to have 4 foreign language credits. eek

I think my french class was the one I actually went to school for. The only thing I was ever really good at besides art class.

I think it's because your school actually offer languages to study, correct? In my school (which happens to be in canada), there's a french class which is mandatory, and another language class <- each school has only one optional language however. The optional language class is not so optional and it can be for your optional credits. ^O^

not at our school........french was considered one of the cores....and they wouldn't give us credits for it as a high school course......

Well, I don't miss school that much and if I do, I stay home because its either the day before a sorta big vacation/holiday OR when I'm sorta sick. Yeah, I exagerate a bit. XD

Although I'm a pretty dull kid, I'm skipping a Pep Rally. I hate those events. >__<
