I know it's almost summer already, but I was assuming they make you wear a skirt all year round; hence the "even in Winter", but I admit that that wasn't entirely clear.

Loads of countries make you wear uniforms to school... Not sure why you'd assume girls have to wear skirts all year from what otakuness said (could just as easily be her choice to wear a skirt) but although I expect there are some places that expect girls to wear skirts all year, here in the UK at least that is certainly not the case. I never wore a skirt (only a dress while I was in primary school...) the whole time I was in education.

Anyway, thing that made me smile today: my parents emailed today to say they got my birthday cake in It was my birthday last week but I'm up at uni at the moment so couldn't celebrate with family and friends back home. Going home on Saturday for summer though so especially looking forward to it ^^
