At my school, prom is only $10 and after-prom $5. Way better than the first and third high school I went to where tickets were $50+

$170 per couple (if you bought tickets on the earliest day)
Went up to...$190-ish if you bought on the last day possible...

Btw, those prices are WITH an "activity card", which is basically a special form of your ID card that you'd buy for $40 at the beginning of the year in order to join clubs, get certain school discounts (like at dances), and go to all games for free

No after party was organized by the school either...

Hell, that's expensive. Really, really expensive.

Like, omg, how could the girls, like, afford their dresses??

Yeah, the after-party for mine = not from the school. A former student body president lets our school use his frat house every year to hold one.

What's with this College prom I'm hearing. Out of all the colleges my friend are attending, they never heard of this College Prom either. Is college prom a public school thing or something?

College Prom? All I was saying was that the after-party of choice is held at a university frat house. That's all. I'm still in high school, have no idea about college proms or whatnot.

THE MAN & Co. is really stict at my school. So no regetton or hip hop would probably be allowed.

I'd rather go to a blowout. biggrin

Oh that's nice. Sounds like you are rich. Maybe you should donate those money

Even If I went to my prom, I wouldn't know any of the kids there. None of my friends went to prom. We kind of just decided it was going to be a waste of time and we didn't want to associate ourselves with the "lower intellects". I know, it sounds snobbish. But it's true.

I went with my best friends and ignored most since I really disliked a lot of people at my High School. I got a good deal on a dress and the tickets. It was fun getting "prettied up" and we really just did our own thing.
I didn't think I would go but I wanted to have a pleasant, unifying school moment before it was over. And I'm satisfied with it since nobody acted too awful/fake/irresponsibly XD

Wahh, alcohol at a prom? Aren't proms affiliated with the high school (at least in the context of this thread) or are you guys just good at sneaking stuff in?
Or because you say "i think you can call it prom" it's not the typical prom I'm thinking of? XD
