I'd have to agree with fallofkakashi on this one, for a fairly philosophical reason (yea I'm a hippy, no I'm not gonna scientifically answer a philosophical question smile) Symbolically the egg has always represented a seed of life, so in order for there to be any life at all a metaphorical egg must precede a more developed life form (remembering people that the whole chicken and egg thing doesn't necessarily need to be taken literally (and ya I'm sure some of you noticed how my logic still fails to answer the question "What created the seed of life or egg?", but frankly that’s not what I'm trying to argue, just that some form of metaphorical egg precedes all life (If you wanna really push the argument of what made the egg you come back to the question of what creates the universe, so the answer "It just was" can be fairly acceptable (Alright I just wanted to add some more brackets)))).

A dinosaur lays an egg before it is a chicken. smile
In the metaphorical sense, some being did exist and
created all that spiritual thinking/egg and so on and I am not
implying to deities as an atheist.

i ment something along those lines....but i dident wanna type all that outttt
laugh
couse the way i've always seen it is, life was started by something (that being the egg) and from then on it evolved into what it is today.

I hope Aristotle will forgive me, but I stick with the egg.
But if you'd put a "omelette" reply, I'd stick with that. smile

i believe its the egg. i don't believe in the whole god made the world theory, otherwise i would say chicken.
think about it. there is proof of evolution so two chicken-like animals must have mated together and so came the egg. then it hatched and then came the chicken. eyes

my teacher said the egg came first..a bird layed it and during evolution one of the birds in the eggs came out of the chicken its something like that her way of explaining it was a lot more complicated

I read in some science magazine that the egg came first but I can't remember the reason why. Gotta search for that mag again...

Who cares? They both get on the store shelves at the same time.
