Axis Powers Hetalia A friend of mine once said that she likes to watch Axis Powers Hetalia because she likes the pairing of the romance. I was surprised with this so I watched it and noticed after about 30minutes, "Where the hell are the female characters?" I asked myself lol.

Kyou Kara Maou! I saw this anime on Animax and I was pretty alienated by the amount of shouen-ai theme stuff in there.

As others have said, Nabari no Ou takes the cake. Hell, the best friend / potential love interest is half female. Miharu can have his choice of body parts... My brother's reaction to the anime: "Is there a single guy in this series who doesn't have a boyfriend?!" (Any series that will draw a guy with long pink hair is automatically suspect.)

And Naruto has crossed that line to the point that any attempts at heterosexuality end up being laughable (Hinata's forgotten confession, Sakura's fake confession). The series really doesn't seem to want him ending up with a chick.

I'm laughing right now because, like I confirmed from Nabari no Ou series sub-forum, the creator himself declared that it ISNT shounen-ai (or something along those lines).
So who's right I wonder, a good number of people saying "oh so shounen ai" or the mangaka? I think readers have the last word on the matter, thus my laughing about this: just imagining the author telling himself "sh!t i didnt want it to be viewed as Shounen Ai! Where did I do wrong, it obviously isnt!" 🤣

I totally agree with others in saying Nabari no Ou, Kuroshitsuji and Hetalia are pretty sub-texty...

But... what about the Hani-senpai and Mori-senpai relationship in Ouran High School Host Club? (I'm going to ignore the twins since they make a category of their own...)

And if I remember correctly, wasn't there some sense of sexual tension between Satoshi and Daisuke (or their counterparts) in DN Angel (anime)? It's been so long... but I feel like I sensed something in a couple of scenes...
