but I think the whole transformation is going too fast. Then again, in order to control the kyuubi I think it was important for naruto to go all out. And dang, Kyuubi is hella strong.

i was wondering what or who this person was also when i read that...but grrrr....kishimoto just had to leave this HUGE cliffhanger....and we have to wait a whole nother week for the next chapter.

Here is my theory on the 4th showing up in naruto, so just as the seal is about to be pulled off there is a trigger that sets off a shadow clone that has been sealed with the seal, so when naruto was just about to pull off the seal that set off the shadow clone to appear...since if ya look back on the fight between the 3rd and Orochimaru, there was a third coffin that the thrid didn't want to rise, and pretty much every one knows that it was the fourth in that coffin, so if he is in a coffin how can he be "not completely dead".....ugh so much left to be answered and to be completed....grrr...but naruto is getting so much better now...

Huh. Sage of the Six Paths was the founder of the Ninja World and was said to have the Rin'negan. Refer to Chapter 373 for more details.


3rd coffin was never implied to be the 4th Hokage, though many would have thought it would be the 4th. The problem lies in that if a person is sealed within the Death God, is that person dead? And the way the 4th was speaking in the most recent chapter almost implies that he is alive. Might be a translation thing though.

I have this nagging feeling though, that Nagato will turn away and side with Naruto later on in the manga. He just does not seem like a person steep in evil and destruction, but rather, a person who's misguided and confused about how to bring about peace in the world. Then again, Ozymandias ain't evil... and Dr. Manhattan was the scapegoat. Lol.

Naruto doesn't have to have seen a portrait of the the forth to know exactly who is standing in front of him, all he had to do was read the back of his coat. Also his face is kinda carved on the cliff in the village, he could probably tell who it was with that, but lacking coloration it would probably be difficult to see any relation to Naruto.

Hmm...slightly confused here: According to Yamoto('s hand, ;P), all nine tails have already been released. So, is the Fourth already too late? O-o

man i jus read it...i waited almost 2 days before reading it...its a "wow, dam" chapter...its too great to put it words, but the cliffhanger sucked lol but i cant wait for next week's chapter...man its gonna be real good.


and 9 on the guys hand...im assuming Naruto is turning into it but his dad came and stopped him from breakin th seal...it might be warning of Naruto turnin into 9-tails...well thts wat i think

Yo! Everyone with the number of tails thing, I read 8 while it looks like others read 9. Either it's translation differences, excitement over more than 4 tails, or something else. So, unless someone reads the original Japanese and tells us what number it is exactly we won't know for certain.

Well, unless my kanji lessons have epic-failed me, I do believe that on page 15, third frame, he has a nine on his hands. However! When he has the eight on his hands, it is very dark, whereas the nine looks like it might just be becoming that.

So, when he has eight tails, the number eight is firm on his hand, when Naruto goes nine tails, it is a very light nine, which I take to mean that it was just about to become nine tails, or was in the stage between eight and nine, and might as well be nine. ^_^

Ye most likely this. I haven't seen the raw so I can't tell.

Regarding Minato's appearance... Remember this is inside Naruto's mind. It's not Naruto or Minato's physical bodies, but their minds.

I bet Madara will show up soon and help Pain out. Else pain is screwed. Nagato seems pretty drained for chakra. They are looking for him, and will probably find him. Konan can hardly be enough defense against several high level ninjas(?). btw from the looks of it it seems they are inside Konan's paper jutsu.

I've enjoyed recent chapters too (or at least didn't feel like the story was dragging on as in some parts the 100 chapters or so before) and this chapter was like icing on the cake. I still hope that the following chapters top this one. Though it might be kind of funny if the next chapter were rather disappointing (I have an acute sense of schadenfreude, but even without that, it could be brilliant bathos). That being said, I'm in Naruto for the long-haul, so I hope that most of the remaining chapters are half decent.

On a side note, I wonder if Viz is skipping Naruto chapters because they were browsing forums -- they are releasing approximately 100 chapters outside of the magazine in 3 months (February to April) and these chapters happen to be where a lot of people started to get frustrated with the series.
