I'm optimistic and I'm very realist....
It's a strange combination but I think the worst thing sometimes could be good. It's about the way you see it.

I may think some negative things, but I'm quite positive in an idealistic kind of way. That or, I tend to be able to get myself out of a bad mood easily.

I don't know I voted more optimistic than pessimistic, but I tend to be sarcastically pessimistic... does that mean I'm pessimistic or not o_0

the question is
is the glass half full, or half empty.
You said filled half way, which means your an optimist.

Pessimistic.

I rarely ever think of things in a positive way. Not sure why.

The glass contains half of it's maximum content.

More pessimistic than optimistic.

Reason being is quite simple really. I always look at how things can go wrong and i'm always thinking of the worst case scenario and I never look forward to anything, simply because I won't become disappointed. If I think of the worse thing that can happen and keep on thinking negatively, i believe that I won't be like, upset over an event or won't be disappointed with the outcome of something. Come on, you can't deny that you've been looking forward to something so much that your expectations of it rise higher and higher, and when it comes, your expectation is so high, that the outcome is disappointing. I've done it many many times, so now, i don't look forward to anything, even the really exciting things. You know how they turn out? Frigging awesome biggrin

I know it's not good to always look on the bad side of life (you know the song just popped into your head haha laugh ) but it's a way of thinking that i've come accustomed to, and it works for me. So yeah XD

I'm optimistic. Not to the point where I don't realize how things can go wrong and stuff like that, but, well, even if I do take in consideration the "worst-case scenarios", I always tend to look at things brightly. I think it helps overcome things.

More optimistic than pessimistic. I have my emo moments but I usually hope for the best, however it turns out.

Maximum content = full
Therefore
The glass contains half of it's maximum content.
The glass contains half of it's full. (Lol?) = The glass is half full.
Which means your an optimist.

The pessimistic version of that wording would be:
The glass contains twice the amount of it's minimum content.

You can try to reword it all you want, your true nature will always come out.

If you ask me if my glass is half empty or half full... I'd say "It doesn't matter. All that matters is I need more."

...only if the glass has nothing in it (2x0=0).

As far as I'm concerned "half a glass of water" seems pretty neutral.
