This week's poll was suggested by Lisj. Have you ever left your home country (maybe moving, for school, or just vacation)? My most recent trip was to Singapore in 2019 for my cousin's wedding.

Only once. I went to Vietnam when I was 6 years old and that's it!

Never. I want to, but I'm a coward when it comes to taking transportation. I can't picture myself in a plane.

Yes, several times. Most of these times were on cruises with my family when I was growing up (twice to Mexico, once to Jamaica, once to the Bahamas. The rest of our cruises were technically not abroad since Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are part of the US).

However, after freshman year of college I spent 2 months doing an internship at Kyoto University! My boss was an absolute nightmare but I had a good time with the trip overall. I once spent a saturday just walking to Nintendo Headquarters just to kind of stare at it like a weirdo. It was like a 40-minute walk from my apartment each way in the middle of June because I couldn't figure out local trains lmao

Yes, both for work and vacations. Sadly my last was in 2019 for a hiking trip.

I live in a Canada-US border town, so it would be many times for me. As frequently as weekly in pre-pandemic times. I don't consider that abroad through. I've never been anywhere else in the world as I'm not much of a traveller.

This made me chuckle 😀

I voted "yes, several times." I mean, I've been abroad more than once, but nothing like once a year or anything. Probably more like once every 3 years or so on avg.

Yes, several times to visit family. I do wish I could visit other countries, but I haaaaaate planes. Guess I could try a Canada or Mexico road trip, but I hate being in cars for extended periods of time even more. That outweighs any desire I have to go places

My mom used to be a tour guide before she retired and would drag me along whenever she was set to be away for too long. Even now, she loves trying to rope me into international trips/cruises whenever vacation season rolls around. So, unfortunately, I've been an unwilling participant in going abroad many, many times.

I also now work at an international company, and so I spend half the year in the U.S. and the other half in Taiwan, though I wouldn't consider this "traveling abroad" exactly, since I have a home in both places.

Several times. Like others though, these were pre-pandemic days. Last took a family vacation in Sydney and Melbourne in 2019.

I've been to quite a few countries (pre-pandemic), such as Japan, Germany, Canada, Panama, and South Korea, but now I'm stuck in Moscow because the pandemic hit and all the flights were cancelled
