Take all the money out of the military, tax the rich. Use the money to pay off the debt, fund public healthcare and education. Build a "Democracy is fun!" theme park on Alcatraz Island.

As leader, get rid of government, as everyone knows they are paid too much to do worst than a 5 five years-old girl. Get rid of army, so i get more of the wasted money to someplace who needs. Rethinking it, better get rid of money. And teach two things to people and things far more important than love or water, by the way are way oversomething, forgot the word. Respect and Fredoom. Easy to understand, everyone loves, everyone happy at least for the most of the time, not like now.
There is place for everyone, and if you think is wrong, you didn't think enough.

If I were the leader of my country 1st of all I'd listen to my people & do everything i can so that they could have a better life, I'd work for them & my country not for my own pocket just to grab more money, and who cares about people or country 'cuz that's exactly what's going on right now in our government, that's really gross

they have no pride in our country and let everyone say whatever they want if they pay them, and i mean that they say ugly & dirty things that mostly aren't true, only to make people more against our own mother country, I'd get rid of them, 'cuz they have no use whatsoever & make sure that employed are those who actually work and do some good, not simply sit on the internet & get paid for that in thousands while those who actually do work which is needed get paid only scraps, in other words I'd also remake the salary system

2nd thing, I'd build some factories or smt so that people would have a place to work & wouldn't leave, and our country could prosper with export, I'd develop the sectors where we're the best/we can produce the most

3rd I'd remake some laws and also so that no corruption could be possible and those who dare do it would be punished severely not like now, they can go on just like before and get even more money, like they have been made the bad ones when they're not, juck

4th more attention would be paid to schools, children & mothers 'cuz they're our future we must help them so that when they take over they could help the next ones and of course also elderly and the ill, they can't be forgotten

5th I'd make sure that children are brought up with more patriotism and love for their motherland 'cuz right now there is none and that is terrible

yup, that's it for now^^ hah, lol, i'm actually thinking of getting into our government to make things better, only problem is, they won't let people like me inside, that's the hard part, but we'll see with time^^ i like this topic alright

I would have long ago started war with every country with nuclear capabilities, dismantle their government and take that country's money. Then, I'd put a large portion of money to interstellar travel and artificial environment research and mine other planets for resources. After the necessary arrangements were made for long-term survival, I'd turn earth into a radioactive wasteland for those who decided not to follow me.
In the end, I'd become the leader of a planetary alliance whose sole purpose is to absorb all knowledge and kill any other sentient beings other than humans for their technology. It is the end result of any space-bound species--being planetary scavengers. Unless I can harvest the power of a star for my laser cannon, which would be the (secret!) reasoning behind my space mining escapades. The laser would also double as a microwave and neighbor annoying device. Genius? I know... I'd just need to create a heat resistant wall outlet and power cord...

This is where it most often goes wrong, someone with ideals and good intentions takes the seat only to realize he/she is only a figurehead without any real power.
Being a leader means both keeping your team (and people) behind you happy and on track and making sure they can keep being so... In short BALANCE.
I'm not trying to defend the current 'leaders of the world', most of what they do is inexcusable... But who am I to judge?, I don't personally know them or am fully aware of all the situations (the real ones, not the propaganda that's called 'news').

Even if he/she has some power, that doesn't mean it can be used freely and without consequences...
You can't just take away the military budget without being defenseless in a time of crisis, you can't make an enemy out of the 'big food companies' whilst trying to sustain an constantly increasing population.

People either demand immediate results to the current problems or the problems are so 'threatening' that they require immediate attentions, and what we get as a result are short-term solutions... Those nearly NEVER work in the end.
Even if one government finally does something right, the results only show themselves after some time, by that time the current government is discredited (since they didn't get immediate results) and the next one destroys everything the current one did and the process starts all over again.

One of the reasons I will never go into politics, too much hassle and people pleasing.

First off I would have a goverment like China anyone trying to uprise against my policies get's shot. No one is allowed to have their say unless they're well educated and wealthy. Are law against gay people will be like Uganda. There will be no religion controlling goverment power.

Before anything else I'd grow a a sexy mustache.

I'm not sure what kind of mustache I'd grow though. Maybe a smaller more unique mustache like Hitlers. or a big bushy Stalin mustache.

After the mustache I would start some utopia project. A brave new world maybe? Everyone who dosen't agree with me will be sent to "re-eduation facilites" in northen Sweden where they'll be the victims of unspeakable human experiments, be used as slave labor in stupid and completely unecessary projects like digging a canal from the baltic to the arcitc and they'll be forced to read smut manga in their spare time.

I woulden't be satisfied with just sending my political opponents there of course. Hippies, kiddies who rage on me in-game, people with bad table manners and of course those conspiring jews will be sent there aswell.

After that, I dunno. Maybe start a war or threaten the world with nuclear weapons. I'll think of something. I could always build a palace and live there with my ecchi harem.
