Recommended Slice of Life Series

I feel like I hit a "brick wall" so to speak in finding good manga, so I would greatly appreciate if someone would recommend me some.
I really enjoy slice of life mangas that are well-paced with great developing plots. I like characters with deep profiles and aren't simply two-dimensional.
I tend to steer towards slice of life's that are bittersweet, tragic, and/or contain some level of romance. Romance which can range from platonic to steamy smut (hehe).
I'm open to all genres.
To give you an idea, here's some of my fav slice of life mangas that I've read:
*works of ASHIHARA Hinako such as Sunadokei, Chouchou Kumo, Yubikiri
*Hourou Musuko
*Hyakki Yakoushou
*Shikeisyu 042
*works of ASANO Inio such as Subarashii Sekai, Nijigahara Holograph
*Usagi Drop
*Hotarubi no Mori E - not slice of life, but still tragedy
*Rin!
*works of ASHINANO Hitoshi such as Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou , PositioN
Once again, I'd really appreciate it!

I recommend the works of these authors:
URASAWA Naoki
TAKAHASHI Tsutomu
SAHARA Mizu (has another name: YUMEKA Sumomo, but there are some shounen-ai titles under this pen name)
Looking at my lists, I recommend:
Natsume Yuujinchou
Historie
Hotman
Nicoichi
Tsurebito
Blood Alone
Vampire Juuji Kai (I really like this one.)
Yougen no Chi (group disappeared, unfortunately)
Aqua (and Aria)
I also suggest looking at the reading list of the member, tsuto. He has some stuff that's pretty good. Haha, sorry I can't help. I like the supernatural stuff.
EDIT: Hehe, found more stuff:
Ai Shiteru (NISHI Keiko)
Bernie's Drawing Diary
Forever Honey
Haruka na Machi e
Hotel
Did you try the genere search?
Anyways, MARS and Cat Street are some of my favorites 😛
- MORI Kaoru's works, like Emma and Shirley
- Nikoniko Nikki
- IS (Inter Sexuality)
This week's favorites:

You MUST read Sahara Mizu/Yumeka Sumomo's works:
- Hoshi no Koe: I realize this isn't slice of life, but it's bittersweet, and absolutely beautiful
- My Girl (SAHARA Mizu) MUST READ
- Dousaibou Seibutsu same as above
- Kokoro Kikai " " "
- ALL of her other works - you won't be disappointed.
If you liked Hyakki Yakoushou supernatural elements, and the mangaka of Hotarubi, then you must read (or even watch)
Natsume Yuujinchou
If you loved YKK, then read Aqua/Aria
Also try:
Solanin, also by ASANO Inoi (though you've probably read this one)
Forever Honey: bittersweet oneshot
Let Dai: rollarcoaster of love and life
Mars: a bit over dramatic near the end, but very interesting story line
Cat Street
Hotman
Planetes: out of this space slice of life =)
Kare Kano: romance...
Emma fantastic historical romance
And Flat (AOGIRI Natsu) + Yotsuba&! when you need something to lift you out of your tragedies

kana503 - Thank you for recommending TAKAHASHI Tsutomu! I had read his series, Skyhigh, and had no idea there was a sequel (Skyhigh Karma). I can't wait to read your other recommendations 😀
u:tro - Yes, I tried a genre search, but the same group of manga repeatedly came up. I had looked at Cat Street before, but never got the interest to read it. But since you recommended it, I'll definitely give it another shot!
tsuto - IS looks very interesting! I'll also give Emma and Shirley both a shot.
riney25 - Wow, I'm really excited to read Yumeka Sumomo's work as well as Aqua and Aria!
Thanks for the all recommendations, minna-san! I am going to be very busy reading 😀

Undercurrent is one of the best I've read recently.
The mangaka, Toyoda Tetsuya, is currently releaseing a series of one-shots which are good too.
Second the all works of Mori Kaoru and Sahara Mizu/Yumeka Sumomo. Sahara Mizu has recently published stuff and as usual, its great stuff.
I like slice of life too and will be checking out everyone's recommendations!
Really love Forever Honey, Usagi Drop and My Girl (Sahara Mizu).

Safe Again Today is a slice-of-life about aliens who are living on Earth, disguised as humans. It's funny, mysterious, and quite touching.
I also like these oneshots:
100 Days Dream (no one else seems to like it, but whatever 🙁 )
Hakuji (another interesting one that seems to be misunderstood)
Ikioku - The Cooler Half (cute)
She Got Off the Bus at the Peninsula (bittersweet)
Taiyou no Ichiwaru (all-around excellent)
Witch of the Flower Forest (beautiful)
EDIT: No one has mentioned Himizu? It's a dark and gritty slice-of-life. Definitely a must-read if you liked Nijigahara Holograph.
Jinja no Susume is more of a relaxing one, but very good as well.

Something I read recently: Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan. It's about a suicidal pianist and a suicidal death row prisoner who give each other a reason to live.
