My first yaoi manga was I think Oshioki Gakuen. At least that's the earliest one I can remember reading. I later read Love Prism and became hooked on the mangaka's other works.

My first shounen-ai manga was Loveless. I bought the first volume and wasn't impressed at first but once I got older and re-read it I began to enjoy it more. It wasn't that it was shounen-ai, the story line was just confusing to me at the time.

Mr first yuri manga... I really don't know. I haven't enjoyed any yuri manga so therefore my memories of them are deleted. None look good to me at all besides. The majority of ''women' in yuri are the exact opposite of women I'm attracted to.

And as far as shoujo-ai, never read one. Again, none look even slightly good to me. However, years back I watched Strawberry Panic but hated it. Why did I wait almost half way through the series to drop it. Why, oh why?

My first yaoi would be Minami Haruka's Kimi wo Tsunaide Kiss Shite Dakishimete, a oneshot from Sweet - Ano Amai Amai Aji
i thought i stumble into a nice smutty 'shoujo' manga when I saw the cover, not realizing that one of the character is a male!! when I read it Iwas feeling weird but it was so good that I move on to find more yaoi manga.

For shounen-ai, it'll be odagiri hotaru's only the ring finger knows. i thought it's a yaoi genre manga, and back then, i never know that manga updates exists. From time to time, I do read some other shounen-ai if I ever get bored with yaoi manga.

As for shoujo-ai or yuri, I never really read one before, but I was curious to see what kind of manga they are so I took a short brief look on Maria-sama ga Miteru. But I quickly dropped it since I'm not really interested with it.

First Yuri : Hidden Meaning. Actually, I've just looked it over, to recall what the story was about, and it appeared to be quite hardcore as well... I guess I'm not easily abashed. 🤣

fun topic. I remember the first time I became aware of BL' s existence was when I saw Yuki and Toya from Card Captor Sakura, and thought that something was definitely fishy there.
the first series I watched with that in mind, was Loveless.

first BL manga that I read and follwed seriously was Cantarella. sigh

but, as for the yaoi I'm not sure where it started. at the beginning I read a lot of trash, and none of it actually stuck. 🤣

first Shounen Ai was Seven Days (I do not really get into any shounen ai really so it took me a long time to even read one).

me, what make me want to read shounen-ai at first was Hanazakari no Kimitachi eIt's was'nt shounen-ai, but i liked the relation they had with the girl desguised as a boy. so i thought maybe i like boy x boys ? because before that i had read Love in The Mask Who was a girl disguised as a boy too !

So when i decide to start one, my first shouen-ai was Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike!and i fell completly in love with it and shounen-ai !! Not yaoi thought i kind of found it disgusting.
So i kept reading all shounen-ai i could find !

then i could'nt find any other good shounen ai, so i went to see komatta toki's author, and i found Super Lovers it was a little yaoi so i kind of really like it !

After it i starte reading Koisuru BoukunAnd then i was in love with yaoi too, because there were more kisses in it than shounen-ai 😀 i did'nt find the sex disgusting like before 😀

First Shounen-ai: Loveless (I actually had an earlier experience with shounen-ai, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.)

First BL anime was Gravitation.

Haven't read any Yuri (don't plan to either,) and the closest I've come to shoujo-ai is when it's a sub-plot in BL & I welcome it! xD
