If gender-benders don't turn you off, try Kaze Hikaru. It's historical and gives some nice details on people's lives in late 1800s. Also, it gets somewhat better after first volume.

Gokuraku Seishun Hockey Bu is not a gender bender but the heroine is not very feminine to begin with... It has something in common with Ouran Koukou Host Bu but overall the two works are quite different. You may like it if you haven't tried it yet ...
