Chuta Kokonose is like any other middle school student. He's easily distracted, says things he shouldn't say out loud and accidentally creeped out the prettiest girl in his class--and all of his problems could be avoided if it weren't for the mysterious voice in his head. One day, Inspector Chips of the space police élDLIVE appears in his locker and seeks to recruit him.
But first, he'll have to pass their entrance test: apprehending a notorious space criminal.

TBH this manga kinda sucks and I wouldn't have read through most of it if I hadn't known that the author was the same person who made Katekyo Hitman Reborn. First off, the art is gorgeous. I love the style and I've loved it since reborn. However, the plot is kinda a hot mess. The manga hard to get into from the start and it doesn't really get that much better as you go on. I started watching the anime just to see if it would be an improvement, but lol nope no one can salvage that crappy storyline. Seriously, I have no idea what's even going on or what the point is any more. I don't know if the crappiness is because the author herself has no clue how to write a manga or if it's because her editor is pushing for this bs but its bad man. I wanna see what the author can do without an editor breathing down her neck, since Hitman Reborn seemed to have some really good moments in it before it all went downhill. Or if the bad quality is really because the author is running out of ideas/is just bad at coming up with plot then I think she should pull a Bakuman and just get someone talented to do the storyline while she works on the art and panel arrangements. Seriously, I feel like she has so many ideas and such great art that is constantly squandered to the point where it frustrates me. Anyway, I don't think I can drag myself through more chapters of this crap so I'm just gonna start looking for good fanfics of this manga bc the characters look nice.
Because the anime didn't leave a good impression behind I assumed that the manga would be the same but it actually turned out to be ten times better than it. This manga may not be as great as Reborn! was but it sure as hell nearly reached the same bar as it, if it was just a little longer an had more time to better develop some of the other characters it would've more than likely reached said bar imo.
