Put a smile on my face

This was a very sweet family story. Really I couldn't stop smiling. I loved the MC Naoto, I love his mom, I definitely love his gay step-father Gorou XD. I liked Naoto's dad as well, but he really didn't get as much screentime as everyone else, so I don't care about him as much.
It really was just a cute story.

I haven´t ever come across mangas like this, it very realistic in it's portrayal of people. Incredibly funny and sweet in all it's dysfunctional glory; it's a mature modern story that shouldn't be miss.

Ahahahaha!! I have my share of laughs, especially in the middle of the night. I think my family are wondering why is their crazy daughter laughing at 3am in the morning.

Anyway, the first chapter is the introduction. Chapter 2 and 3 is when the real fun get started. Great character development and storyplot. Read this if you want to laugh your heart out.

its really give a good feeling while reading this, because it portray a somewhat realistic family and the characters have believable personality. though i cant see any 'shounen ai' element here, the gay part is just another facet of the family quirks that the protag must face.

Admittedly I didn't expect much from this one.. at first glance the art seemed dated, and it didn't seem like my kind of series..

But it has a lot of heart, and great humor. The first chapter is so-so, but the story really builds and becomes quite enjoyable by its end. You get to know the characters, and as you do, you really start to feel for them and relate much more to them. True intentions get revealed, backstories make more sense... this is a case of a volume really getting complex and involved, for the better. A lot of family drama floating around, but a lot of hilarious moments and sentimental, romantic ones thrown in the mix, too. Gay relationships, straight relationships - this story runs the gamut of them quite realistically, and it makes the story feel very real and comforting somehow.

Some quick advice: Don't read this one if you're looking for anything sexual, or "hot-blooded romance". It's not a passionate BL title; this is a thoughtful, sentimental and funny 'family' story.

This manga is awesome! I could read it again and again. The characters are all very endearing with human faults. I love how the author has made a disfunctional family so very normal, which in reality is to be expected in this day and age. Even the most simple dialogues between the characters can provide amusement. I also liked the homosexual aspect of the story because this is probably the first time that such a relationship has been handled with such realism and humour. Ahh reading this makes me want to enjoy life more. Bravo to the mangaka. I'd recommend this manga to anyone and everyone biggrin

I just loved this one. Funny and real at the same time, the story is good and believable, the characters are solid and endearing. It's worth giving it a chance.

Anything can happen when two "dysfunctional" families begin to merge together.
