Note on the Song

Short and Cute.
A pretty standard shoujo oneshot, although it may be worth mentioning that the series this is a spin off of seems to have garnered a lot of attention (from novel to 3-volume manga to a movie which was just released in Japan).
Also of note, the song they are working on learning is "Tegami" or "Letter" by Angela Aki. There are a few things mentioned in the oneshot that link back to the song that might be worth knowing, but are not at all necessary to understand/enjoy the story.
