Description
In a jungle in Africa right on the equator there was a white lion, Panja, who was called the "Emperor of the Jungle." But Panja is killed by a hunter. His wife, the Queen of Jungle, who has been caught by the hunter, gives birth to the son of Panja on a ship bringing them to a zoo. She names her son "Leo" and has him escape from the ship, saying, "Go back to Africa and become the successor of your father." I want to start by saying that I'm grateful I got the chance to read this. Big thanks to the translator!
I must say, the story of this is a mess, and sometimes too much of a mess for it's own good. It's a bit funny looking back at how the story started, and then looking at where it ended. A lot goes down, some which I found good, and some which I found boring honestly. There were a good amount of characters, some got more focus than others, however I really wish Mary and Kenichi got more screen time, as I found their part of the story interesting and I feel like they could had played an even bigger part in the overall plot.
There were some parts in the story which made me cringe, however. For example, the whole idea of animals trying to adapt the life style of humans is just too silly, even for a story which I don't think you're suppose to take too seriously anyway.

Hi - we are actually going to call the main character Kimba, since North American audiences may be familiar with the anime series of the same name. That said, most of the other characters had silly English names, so we'll just use whichever name (English or Japanese) feels best when we get to each character.
This is my very first scanlation project, though I've been reading manga years.
