Description
Middle-aged salaryman Uematsu was surprised to learn that the restaurant part time-worker Asahikawa knows about his food habits. When Uematsu got promoted to department head, he thought his life would be smooth sailing from then on but very soon his wife left him.
After reaching his fourties, he feels like his stamina, energy, everything has been depleted, so he tries to avoid anything troublesome. But strangely, he feels a sense of ease whenever he is with Asahikawa and starts warming up to him, but it feels like Asahikawa wants to get closer to him more than he could have ever imagined...

This may honestly be my favourite age gap romance 😭‼️
I really liked how Asahikawa helped Uematsu recconect with his daughter 😭♥️. This had such cute and good character growth, especially the daughter. I found the scenes of her realising, accepting, and supporting Uematsu so touching and emotional. Asahikawa was also so mature 😭♥️ my heart broke when he was preparing to let go of Uematsu bcs he understood how important familial connections are. So glad Uematsu communicated with him clearly and reassured him. Their romance felt so natural, and I loved how they both make each other SO happy 😭♥️♥️ wish this had more chapters so I could see more of this adorable couple.

The age gap seems reasonably portrayed, with a realistic method of getting to know each other and growing closer despite differences in ages. The art style seems to suit this story well, I feel like it's very down to earth and easy on the eyes. Lovely characterization, and a beautiful love story.
Superficially, this could be any other BL romance. It's the emotional journey and characterization that set this manga above the rest. There's no huge drama, no crazy coincidences or surprise twists—it's just a dude slowly falling for another dude, and one of the dudes happens to be middle aged while the other dude is in his 20s. It feels extremely realistic and believable in a way that very few BL manga does.
