I been wondering where did I read this kind of plot. Then I went to check other Chiba Kozue's works. Voila! There you go! Oneshot story from "Amai Suppai Horonigai".
I just don't like male lead to be a smoker. Let alone smoking in a house with teenager inside.

Boy, oh boy this manga has all the tropes you want:
1. 1st chapter is an intro to a bland main character who you can easily envision as yourself. She meets the male lead (25 looks 17) and he immediately sets the rule of being back home by 7, like the title says. Her mom is dead and he's her live-in housekeeper. Then, of course, you get the sad background story of her mom raising her alone so she's always busy and the Girl tries! Not! To! Be! Upset! but she still has that melancholy bout or whatever. Anyway one evening she's texting her BF for comfort and he GASP isn't there for her. This is where the Generic Older Men start flirting with her and ask her to go with them and she starts to panic but don't worry because YEAH, you guessed it: Housekeeper shows up and saves her. He also says "Get away from my daughter" but he's 25 and she's like 17 so I guess he was a dad at 8 in this made up scenario.
2. You know what I read the other available chapters in hopes that it would pick up or surprise me with something I haven't read a hundred times before. Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 were just as predictable. More of her not knowing how to take care of herself 'cause dumb ol' mom wasn't there to teach her how to cook or hug her.
3. The art is from like 2004... let's change it up, people.
