Okay I doubt many people have read this, but I read this at Barnes and Nobles- distinctly remember seeing the first volume in the manga section, thinking "Oh that looks interesting" but I did NOT know it was going to be a yaoi manga, especially after reading the description. I thought it would just be a gay guy meets straight guy, become friends story. But oh man, I was wrong.

I'm so happy I picked up this random pick amongst hundreds on the shelves. After reading the first volume, I needed more. I wanted more, but I had to wait patiently until they updated it at Barnes (which btw I'm so so glad this store has these) cause it's not online anywhere! It also didn't even have a Baka Updates page and I was so confused cause it was so good! Also the fact that I read it throughout like a few months, waiting for updates, and reading it not on my laptop made the whole experience that much more special. But the actual book:

The characters are just... so beautiful. Volume one is about their relationship starting off, and how they become friends to knowing and feeling there is something more between them. Johann is gay, Taehee is not but he likes Johann- a lot. Their relationship just becomes so beautiful and full of something that you can't describe perfectly- it just is. They understand each other, and the amount Taehee cares for him and you see his transformation as a person who was sort of homophobic to an open-minded person becomes great.

Things happen, Volume 2 comes, and yes you'll be frustrated because they don't see each other a lot. But when they do... such a beautiful moment. And Volume 3 will make you just squeal in happiness. This mahwa doesn't try to go too dramatic, even after 3 years of not seeing each other, it's not like it makes it difficult with them. Because they simply love each other, so fate brought them together, and because they were always thinking of each other, it's like the 3 years never happened. You see how they just need each other, and because of Taehee, Johann got his closure. Because of Johann, Taehee got someone to trust.

The most angsty, real, and really heart-wrenching part is seeing Taehee's friend just go downhill. You'll see, but wow. That really got me, and you see what could have happened to Taehee, but didn't because of Johann. And that's what makes this manhwa so real.

The art is beautiful- unique, and keep in mind it's Korean so might be weird at first if you're used to Japanese style, but the art is nice and 'pretty' but also realistic.

I highly encourage all of you to read it- find it at your Barnes and Nobles or wherever, hopefully it becomes scanted online (not sure if it did already), but I'm excited because I do think this deserve way more attention right now but I understand why it doesn't have. Yet.
