A classic space adventure

There's really a lot to like here. The premise is one we've seen time and time again, but well told and with endearing characters. The art is sort of on the generic side, though you can tell the artist is really more interested in the ship and creature designs than the humans. To be honest, the start is a bit rough, with weird pacing and a lot of jokes that just don't land. But once things actually get rolling in a few chapters, things even out quite a bit. The biggest problems I have is that there's just not enough time for everything to get enough attention. A few of the characters get totally sidelined, and the locations, while interesting, go by very quickly. There's also a few strange and clumsy twists. But, overall, if you're looking for a sci fi adventure, you can do a hell of a lot worse.

I wrote this review on very few chapters and so far there has only been little information about how this story will go on. While the initial premise looks simple, you got somehow teleported to space, but with complete space suit and a usable vessel nearby, you can't help but think no such thing can be coincidently convenient. There has been clues that indicates this might turn into a thriller, but the early chapters have been peacefull and actually from the art, I find it weird if it would be gory later on.

Still a group that lost somehwere alien are bound to have conflicts sooner or later, and KnA has all the potential to go that way. You simply just don't know what you will expect as you travel from one environment to another and that goes with the people minds, let alone if it was someone who plot their lost in the space in the first place. The whole thing promises an interesting journey ahead.

A fun space adventure

I love scifi and space adventure, and this light hearted and fun space comedy make me laugh a lot. It's not the traditional sombre and philosophical musings ala 2001nights and the writings of Isaac Asimov, but I do appreciate a lighthearted look of the unknown in the basic shounen point of view. The characters are all good paper templates which created the cheerful tone and make us root for such good children. There are some deep themes that could be touched on in the usual philosophical sci fi ways but I'm glad the author does not dwell on such morose themes but stick to 'friendship', 'hardwork', 'dreams' and all the other good tried and tested shounen themes.

Pretty good

Pretty good space manga. Follows a lot of typical shounen tropes and the drama can get a bit heavy handed at times, but overall it's all executed very well and is interposed with decent gags. The characters are fun, sci-fi scenarios are interesting, and personally I've always been a sucker for these type of space adventure stories.

Though some might call it unoriginal, I also like how the mangaka borrows scenes from popular sci-fi media (the spinning Gravity scene, the Interstellar tsunami etc.) Can't wait to see how the plot thickens!
