Continues the story in the same way.
As stated below, Emulators is not as good as the previous three volumes of Alien Nine, but it's still completely worth reading, and involves many of the same themes regarding symbiosis, sexual maturity, and loss/retention of innocence. Tomizawa is a god, and though this is not his best work, it's still head and shoulders above most manga on the shelves.
I personally liked the original "Alien Nine" A LOT more.
This "add on" only made the story even more confusing....
WATCH OUT! It leaves the beloved series on a really depressing note.
