Description
From Yen Press:

Everyone knows about the story of Scheherazade and her wonderful tales of the Arabian nights. For one thousand and one nights, she entertained the mad Sultan with the adventures of Aladdin, Ali Baba, Sinbad, genies, and many other mystical creatures. But what if Scheherazade was actually a boy desperate to save his sister’s life? What kind of strange things would he do to make sure that he survives to tell the tale? This new twist on one of the greatest classical folk tales just might keep you awake for another One Thousand and One Nights.

Imperfections that only god can fix... it's personal.

Honestly, I don't like the idea of singing praises for korea and manhwas. The idea itself disgusts me, so I'll keep this as neutral as possible. This manga I found before I realized my dislike for korea, and well... picking it up again... I totally forgot about it being a manhwa >.<.

Well, putting aside I'm having trouble ignoring whatever korean with the sfx, and aside with the fact that it reads left to right, it doesn't have the usual stink of korean manhwas. I mean that by, interesting settings, horrible execution. I don't think I have finished one with the same feelings when I started reading, that is, on the rare occasion I do finish it.
Art's nice too, no weird anatomies with alot of korean ones. I think I could probably be honest and love the "manga" if it weren't a manhwa.

Basically... summing it up and avoiding all praises, korean manhwas are tiring to read after a while. This is quite the opposite. It's usually either, art gets tiring or story gets boring. Now... if only some god can go *zap* and *boom* to make that korean author turn into some chinese or japanese.

EDIT: Found the rest of the chapters... the last few was quite a disappointment, however it is acceptable ending. Just... a bit weak and not my taste.

One of the best works I have read, incorporating old with the new, mixing it all together with a dash or romance madness and tragedy! Religion, conflict, forbidden love it is all here!! I read all 11 volumes in 2 days and immediately went online to buy the whole set! No other yaoi story influenced me to the point I could not fall asleep after finishing.
Each story inspires a thought that you might not wanted to think about, makes you realize some truths you might not wanted to realize but all the same it teaches you how to be a greater man. Truly inspirational.

I don't like manhwa, i dont like korea, so Ive skipped this manhwa several times.
But when I've read it, I can't stop. I've finished 8 vol yesterday, i read it slowly from 8am to 10 pm. It's so amazing smile Last night I even can't go to sleep deeply
Alots of manhwa has a good start, but it's get worst. 1001 nights isn't, it's has a good start, and it get better and better each chapter
well, the 1st time I saw Sehara, I thougt 'oh~another girly character, i'll get bored by this kind of character'. But then, I can't feel that girly anymore, I just admire this character so much smile

(I hate their name so much, It not easy to pronoun and remember =.=)

Well, never before has I read such a good manwha. Manwha used to be long, but this manwha is so good that 11 volumes seems like a flash. Frames filled with beautiful art; clean yet still carries the Arabian exotic scent. A very well written plot with interesting stories and cultural depictions nicely woven with the main story.

If you ever set foot in manwha, this is a must-read!

i loved the story and art. i almost skipped this one so glad i didnt biggrin when i started reading, i couldnt put it down, only took me 2 days to finish reading all 11 volumes. would of finished it in 1 day but took me a while to find the last 2 volumes.Anyway the main story and the sidestories were very great! though sometimes i get frustrated when sehara starts telling a sidestory at a very interesting part in the mainstory x.x. and i looooved the ending. it felt very complete and satisfying smile but theres a certain part i thought was too fast paced
Spoiler (highlight to view)
the part where shahyrar goes to find sehara in beijing. it felt kinda quick how he reached there

The sidestories were mostly tragedies, but were also happy...happy tragedies? x3

did u notice most BL manwha have satisfying endings that feel complete? (like totally captivated, boy princess, running on empty etc. maybe its just me ._. )

Enjoyable for me

Reading some of other people comments, I find that I can't agree with some of them.

At first, I was confused when it jumped to the sidestory and the main story. But I got used to the flow and I enjoyed them both. It also made me reread the story to nail down what was really happening whenever I get confused. A good trick from the artist and author to get us to reread stuff.

The uke and seme might seem unrealistic for some commenters, but I think the character development really explains their action, even if some people don't want to believe it.

But then again, it might be the matter of taste. I got hook onto this story because I like stories that are like twisted fairytales and the sidestory in the first volume got me hooked.

I don't like angst or tragic love stories, but even with these stories that Sehara tells, each has a moral. This book is wonderfull, beautiful, enchanting... I finished 25 chapters up to around book ten in two days. I really couldn't put this series down, and I ended up readind till sunrise despite having many finals the next day... Sehara is one of the most favorite of all my favorite characters- strong yet kind with an air not of arrogance but confidence, yet humble. Intelligent and wise, I have yet to see such a brilliantly created character..
smile Oh and to Jane Doe, he was um.. fingered..? >.< it seems that it was a while after being whipped, because most of his wounds had already healed. he prob fainted and then woke up.
Some may say it is very sad.. but read on and you will not be failed. Anyway.. must every story end romantically? Its a sort of nice pace from all the happy mangas I always read. A night of a thousand dreams is just really deep. I've read the novel of the girl as the main character, it was good as well.. but I don't know why but Sehara being a guy that can actually be respected makes it so much better than the original.. although I did love the novel's stories she told better lol smile
