Yes, for neko-girl that should have been a burning question? I mean, cat in heat are so... tremendously fun. So is cat-girl!
Classical catgirl manga! It's no wonder if otaku started obsessing with cat-ear. And one last thing, I dunno it's fortunate or unfortunate, this manga is quite clean. I mean, when the enzyme started melting the clothes of the girl, she thought "Oh no, the readers will see me..." How cute! how sad!

Some people need to understand that this manga came out in 1989. Tokyo Mew Mew was only a recent anime [~2003]. If anything, Tokyo Mew Mew probably took inspiration from this. Then again, most things take inspiration from one or many things.
