everyone who has read a sample of koide-sensei knows that in all of her works there are never-ending conversations about things that don't matter (i skipped all the medical-related talks), no sex until the last chapter, too many filler scenes, etc but they also know that the at is very detailed and beautiful, there are many doki-doki moments and the stories are presented with such care that you don't have the feeling that something is wrong from a moral aspect.
the only thing that really irritates me is that she always draws the semes clinging on their ukes and running behind them all the time, no matter how many times or how badly they are rejected. this and the long chatting.

I'd recommend this manga just for the art, which is very good. Admittedly, the plot is slightly cliched BUT it has other strong aspects, uncommon to most yaoi, that make it worth your while. First, strong primary characters. It's really nice to see characters who are not pushovers and with strong natures and convictions. Secondary characters actually play a role in some sense to advance the story.
Most of all, I am impressed by the amount of detail included in the surgical/medical procedures, which makes the story SO believable. I'm no medical student so I don't know how much of it is accurate. But I am tired of seeing the vague statements other mangakas throw out about so-called work-related matters. We see the same generic dialogues involving the word 'data' or 'orders' or 'emergency' or 'meetings' - all glossed over in less than a sentence - and we're expected to believe those are the intricate workings of a huge corporate company or hospital. I mean, seriously?
Bottom line, this manga has satisfied my notions of what a good manga is, in every way.
