You'd be hard pressed to find a world more rich and imaginative than the one presented in Aqua Knight.
Kishiro honestly made completely the wrong choice by creating Last Order rather than continung with this. It has far more potential.

From the author of Battle angel Alita, comes one of his older works Auqa knight. It's setting and art style is the opposite of Battle angel, more open and optimistic were Battle angel Alita is more gritty and controlled. It's an epic story with a lot of heart and the main heroine Ruliya will make you fall in love with her. Here's hoping Kishiro comes back to this manga when Battle angel is finished.
Reading a simple classic fantasy like this warmed my heart, reminiscent of the good old days where authors put effort to create an original story, which is rare these days. It is entertaining to read and I'd like to read more...
Huge potential fell short, the author had everything there but he didn't seem interested to make it work.
The world he created was very complex and interesting, very original in the context of shounen manga we get fed with these days.
If this were spread on 20 volumes i'm sure it would've become a classic.

from the same author as battle angel alita, its a story about a boy who is wild and carefree, and his adventures with a 18 yr old girl who is a aqua knight. the characters are likeable, and its a interesting story. if u want a light, funny fantasy read then this will do
