A lot of flavor for small bites

The metaphor here is a bit clumsy, but I think the meaning should get across quite well. The stories may be short, with little development, but there's a strange- almost ghostly- effect while reading them that leaves a lingering impression. Igarashi Daisuke is truly one of the better mangaka out there, and although Hanashippanashi isn't going to cement that fact in the same way as Majo or Kaijuu no Kodomo, it's still a wholly satisfying piece.
