When I first picked up this manga I was very shocked about how simple the story is but don't let that fool you. I love this manga. It is one of my favourites and I was surprised to all the bad ratings I have seen. O_O It shouldn't be rated that low.
Anyway the story follows Shea, a young guy who is starting up his life long dream of being a designer but this didn't go to plan. Suddenly he grows wings and was shunned away from society. He learns it is due to an virus which infects people and makes them grow angel-like wings. After trying to get use to the idea of having wings, he meets a woman who was black ones. No one can sense her but he knows that she is around and is fixed on finding her.
I believe Flock of angels to be an excellent manga. The describes how the world would see these people who have been infected. The story is pretty simple, like I have said, but the characters are mildly entertaining and well ... who doesn't want to see a world with people with wings (Well the girls anyway).
So if you are looking for a simple read with a touch of romance I suggest you pick this one up for a read. I mean three volumes ain't THAT long. ^^
