definetly worth it

this manhwa is just epic

at 1st i wasnt to excited about this, i would already have seen the cover a few times and the description wasnt too spectacular as well so in the end i only began reading it out of boredom and to escape from work xD

at the beginning i didnt know what to think as i thought the art was kinda stupid/low skilled, however i still felt kinda like the artist put his heart into it and the situation of shiion kept me kinda interested as i wanted to know how he would be going to get out of it and so after only a few chapters i totally got absorbed into the manwha

the whole time i was kind of waiting for shiion to give changho a beating and it took some time till that happend (in the meanwhile some crazy stuff happens and the story and setting of the manwha get explained in a nice way, i for one wasnt even able to tell at which point the story changed from the "boy being bullied" to the "full brutality of the martial arts world" setting, gotta give my props to the author at this point, truly great execution), however as soon as that happens things kinda explode in some awesome way, like u will feel like u didnt even get what the hell just hit you(ull see see when u read it) and even though i wanted to go to bed (12:00 PM) i stayed up till the next morning (7:00 AM) to read the manga cause i felt like i wouldnt be able to have to bear to wait another day to see whats going to happen next

the story is just mindblowing in a way even tho the protagonist gains his power kind of too easy (compared to kenichi, holyland and ippo for example), however going by the fact that his body contains the ki worth the amount of the ki of 100 elite fighters (iron fist munju is an elite fighter for reference to felow readers) this is all just too understandable so this is rather a plus than a minus

the art improves constantly even tho it isnt too bad at the beginning either and theres also some great comedy packed into this manhwa, u will love the jokes of the teacher and his personality xD (hes cold blooded alright) and shiion even becomes a lil player at some point lol

also there is some awesome romance being interlaced into the story in some great way (awesome meaning its not obtrusive and it doesnt get in the way of the story at all, in contrary it helps the story to improve) and im looking forward to see what further effect the romance is going to have on the coming story (currently at chapter 53)

all in all this is some true masterpiece and is going to rank up in my top 5 if not top 3 (berserk and one piece being my favs)

now i just hope this one is going to continue for some long time, seeing as the author has a manwha running at its 50th volume atm and this one here sure as hell has the potential... even though i would be putting my bet at around 18 - 25 volumes in total^^ which isnt too bad either xD

edit* also looking forward to next chapters, A-team u guys just rock, keep up the good work

edit** loooooooooool looking at the stats "the breaker" is part of the top 3 at all of them biggrin biggrin biggrin , 1 and 2 being shoujos....................

I've reread this manga at least 4 times already. It's so awesome. The art is amazing, the gags are hillarious, the chibi versions are cute, and there's tons of boy and girl fanservice. The goomoonryong and his female counterpart are the hottest fictional people I've ever seen. The action though, is the biggest highlight of this manhwa. It's clear what's happening, well drawn, and completely badass. Maybe I should say that more than awesome this whole manhwa surpasses badass. I got a little impatient at the beginning with the protagonist and the douche who's bullying him, but trust me it's just setting the stage for an explosion of pure win and awesomeness. The protagonist at first seems pretty lame, but unlike Kenichi he's always growing and always trying his hardest. He didn't get his power fairly, but they explain why he never would have been able to level up anyway. He also seems really naive, but the master's flashbacks show us why he's more like borderline profound. Honestly if I could give this manhwa more than 10/10 I would.

Easily In My Top 5 ;P

While looking through the comments I noticed several people comment on the apparent instantaneous growth of Shioon and how it's too instant and unrealistic... I really think those people should reread the beginning of the manga. Shioon does not "instantly" get better, in fact, even when he finally decides to stand up for himself he still gets his ass-kicked several times before he starts improving. Not to mention the manga takes place within a month, the point is that he's a quick learner. Also any comments about too heavy an amount of fan-service, boobs, etc., are just flat out wrong. This manga handles any sexual content in it the way a seinen should, with maturity. Not once while reading this did I find the sex appeal of Shiho (the only character that is featured heavily and has sex appeal) to be "too much" or "unnecessary," whoever thinks so should read more manga cause there are an infinite number of examples of this actually being the case. Moving along, this manga is terrific, I was originally hesitant for whatever reason, I don't remember why, but when I did finally read it I was thoroughly impressed. With only 72 chapters, it is short, but what it manages to accomplish within that time is truly great, not to mention it has an equally great sequel. In addition to the great art, the battle scenes are exciting and fast-paced. You can as easily connect with Shioon's triumph and defeat as you can Goomooryong's anger and loss. Overall, counting this and The Breaker: New Waves as the same manga, this is easily in my Top 5 biggrin

Great Manga, read until Shioon's first fight before you decide if you like it bigrazz

the reviews with people saying it's a rip off version of GTO has NO CLUE of this manhwa's plot. it's only beginning that seems like it's GTO rip off but once you pass that point you'll realize just how much different this manhwa is compare to GTO manga.

I hate this manhwa so much!
I can't sleep, can't do my homework. I even forget to eat.
All I've done all day is sit here and read this manhwa.
Yet even after racing through 9+ volumes, I've still not had enough. What the heck?
And why does every chapter end on a frigging cliff-hanger?
I won't be able to breathe properly until the next scanlation is out.
What have you done to me, you stupid manhwa?!

This is a really good Manhwa. The pacing is extremely well done, things go slowly, but steadily develop. It doesn't feel rushed, yet every chapter is interesting and pulls you in deeper in the intricate world the authors are creating.

The drawings are especially nice, with detailed characters and unique facial expressionsmatched with some really unique personalities.
This is a definite recommendation to any one who knows how to apreciate good manhwas.

TOTALLY AWESOME!!

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I just picked this up 'cause it said it was completed and figured from the reviews, why not? First volume, I was like, "Hmmm...a lot of explaining, kinda cool." And then from then on, my mind got blown away.

The art is AWESOME!! Damn, how the artist draw abs like that, I want to see him draw them so I can learn from him. Aside from that, his drawing keeps you hook along with the action and storyline. Unlike some action manga I read where the movements can be confusing after a while, I can clearly see how it is done and it make sense to me.

Character development is another plus. We see this wimpy kid who is got no athletic skills who ate this energy pill thingy and then started to train his body to maintain that energy. It's pure awesomeness to see this kid grow in mentally and physically. He doesn't want to use his power to prove he's stronger, but to use those power to protect against the bullies and his love ones.

The twists are good as well. Some were funny as hell, some were unexpectedly cool, etc. Recommended to all!! Did I said it is pure awesome?

I think this is one of the better manhwas out there at the moment. I must agree that the wimpy student grates on your nerves but as the story develops he starts to grow on you. My opinion is that it can be compared to a mix of Veritas and Kenichi with it coming out probably better than both.

Compared to Veritas I believe the story line is better and it does a good job of leaving a large part of plot unknown without confusing the audience as to what the heck is going on. Don't get me wrong because I love Veritas too.

The art is great and the characters are still developing and so far in a good way I think.

I don't think I've ever read anything this great! I kept putting this one off for a while. Turns out I shouldn't have. The pace is just perfect! I don't see where it's slow, since it gives you the opportunity to enjoy every moment to the fullest. It's the first time I've actually cut down on my sleep, devouring a book!
Now go read it yourselves, people!

I've actually started reading this manga 2 or 3 times already but has never been able to pass the beginning because it was just brainless humor. However, about 2 weeks ago I'm glad I was able to make up my mind and finally got passed the beginning.

In the beginning, the author wants to make you know that none of these main characters get along but they put with each other because of their titles. Goumooryong is Shioon's teacher (so he puts up with Shioon this way); Shiho is a coworker to Goumoonryong by name and they put with each other that way. However, as this story develops, the author wants you to know that they still act like they do in the beginning but all they got is each other; rescuing and reassuring each other that there are dire consequences for any rules that aren't followed.

I love the bitter tragedy at the end. Towards the ending, I'm thinking "this is how it's gonna end" but it ended COMPLETELY different from what I had in mind. I love the twist and overall, the art style is amazing. The fighting is easy to understand; Goumoonryong's able to relate to Shioon as a student in various ways, which also helped him made the choices he made at the end. Lovely and extremely powerful story.
