Description
Ueda Tomoharu is a cop manning a local koban station, and he’s quite happy with his job and relatively quiet life until he happens to run into yakuza member Gotouda Aki while chasing down an underwear thief…and is suddenly confessed to! Aki doesn’t seem bothered in the least about their star-crossed lovers status and eagerly dives into a super lovey-dovey relationship with his policeman, but Ueda’s about to find out just how dangerous it can be dating a mobster…in more ways than one.

This is cute and funny but its a little overrated. It has good moments but its not awesome like what people said. Aki can be a handful at times. His personality is a naive kid rather than a young master of yakuza. I never seen him or his family actually do anything yakuza-related works. Also, he likes to put up a strong attitude but hes rather weak.
Another thing is there are too many love rivals and I got bored of this cliche plot. Lastly, u can barely see their relationship as policeman and yakuza. Its good for a light read but its not like the best ever.

This has got to be ONE OF THE BEST CREATIONS OF THE WORLD >w< It's adorable and I can feel that Aki and Tomoharu really love eachother smile It's not oversexualized (unlike a lot of Yaoi...) And the main characters are sooooo CUTE >w< Yeah I love it <3

It's a bit unusual, in that:
1) The story's mostly told from the seme's perspective, and
2) The seme is a nice, gentle, steady guy (not an a-hole like most of them).

Really, he's the perfect boyfriend. The uke is savage and tsundere and splutteringly adorable. I have to say this is probably my favorite yaoi title.

I can't help but love this series. It's really one of those where you have to just ignore reality and go with it. The characters are likable and have a cute dynamic. Although the same sorts of things just happen over and over, I don't get tired of reading it. I am also a fan of the art, even though it's pretty cutesy. Ueda, aside from a few moments of excessive jealousy, manages to remain cool while still being a mature and doting partner. I can appreciate that as its not a balance I see very often in yaoi, especially in such an unrealistic series.

This is the first time I post my comment but can't help it because Honto Yajuu is definitely one of the best manga ever. Warm, cute and interesting at the same time! You definitely should read it if you love yaoi mangas.

This manga has everything that yaoi lovers enjoy. Stunning artwork. Cute characters with flaws, excellent smut scenes, a slow and oblivious plot..... Read this manga! You won't regret it.

Possibly my all time favourite manga. I love the artwork and the take on the characters. Their relationship is portrayed in such a lovely way and I utterly enjoy every chapter I read. I could re-read this manga any time.

Truly one of the best for me. It's one of the first times that I actually genuinely enjoy the traits of both the seme and the uke and feel that the relationship dynamic is so beautifully defined.

This is the guilty pleasure of reading (and enjoying) a totally unrealistic love comedy with seemingly badass yakuza that are actually either cute butt gays or idolizing bears that want to screw the cute butt gay - and where all illegal yakuza bear activity is magically not present or very harmless and easy to accept.

If you don't mind the utter stupidity of this plot, you might very well enjoy it - just as I did.

absolutely cute both of them are totally opposite but they are great together. Aki's reaction is over the top lol you'll definitely enjoy seeing how they react. A definite must read for all yaoi fans.
